  1. I have set back and watched this thread for sometime and really don't have a dog in this fight. From what I've read and seen this district is really weak. I went and watch Cleveland play Bridge City a couple years ago at our field in the payoffs and Bridge City put a spanking on Cleveland so keep telling yourselves how Cleveland is so good when your district is so weak.

Cleveland could not compete in the district with WOS, Jasper, Silsbee...etc and from I have been reading LaMarque is moving down to 3A next year.

jasper isnt in that district anymore but based on your post i assume that hj cant compete there either?

  2. Oh sorry. I was thinking of another brand, maybe I was thinking of Schutt?  I don't know, but the revolution looks pretty to the kids but its not a good helmet imo.

i wore one when i played and honestly i wore it because it was alot more comfortable that the other helmets...

Revolution helmets dont even feel like you are smashing heads with them on... but the others feel rock hard on the inside...

idk how they would cause more concussions than others... but that'd be interesting to find out and the reasons why...

same. ive worn both the revolution and the dna by schutt and i would take the revolution any day, especially the new models.

  3. how dare you put elite xc in the same boat with affliction. there is a reason you know the names of the fighters in affliction, if its been this succesful with just heavywieghts think about when the card expands as it is fixing to do. im not saying that affliction could put ufc anywhere near out of business anytime soon, i believe the argument was that affliction had the better fighters. there is a reason why fedor does not fight ufc ( and why sylvia and arvloski left. ben rothwell, josh barnett..those guys arent good fighters?

who have gonzaga and kongo beat besides cro cop? i think kongo has beat barnett twice 3 or 4 years back maybe but thats it.

and the best thing herring did is get his face destroyed by fedor.

  4. clevelands defense is just too much

seen em twice....and its just amazing how well they play as a team. hj will be lucky to score twice as cleveland rolls

yeah as hj "rolls" on to the 2nd round of playoffs...and how cleveland "rolls"on out of playoffs

    ummmm.....no

cleveland is just too good....if im not mistaken they didnt allow a point until district. so i will sit back and watch as cleveland rolls on and hj rolls right into the off season.

doesnt b-ball start soon @ hj

  5. How did the big MLB Scott look for the Trojans?

Scott had his problems on both sides of the ball.  He did impress me when they moved him to wide out and he caught a 35 yard TD pass.  He spends to much time on the field and that is the coach's fault.  Scott should not feel bad about becoming a non-factor in the game, because Cleveland's O and D have been making talented players not relevent all season.

i think the only time he came off the field was during a time out. there is no excuse for the coaching staff to use him the whole game in that manner. sure you gotta let your best players play but when it was 34-12 in the 4th i think its its time for him to come out. where did all the coldsprings fans go anyways??  ;)

  6. We can pull up whatever numbers we want as far as strength of schedule goes, but the bottom line is this.....  who would you rather play in the pre-district????

Bryan Rudder, Huntington, and New Caney  (Cleveland's opponents)

    or

Crockett, Madisonville, and Diboll  (Coldspring's opponents)

Coldspring has played teams equal to and better than Cleveland. And, fared well, or won against them all.  Cleveland is no-where the caliber of a team that Diboll is. And yes, Coldspring did lose that game 40-36.

Cleveland has not played anyone even close to Coldspring's talent level. The only contest Cleveland had was Huffman.... in which the score was 21-11.  Thats the same Huffman team that Coldspring beat 30-14 (and Huffman was very lucky that they were not embarrassed in that game).

We can sit and say Cleveland's better; or Coldspring's better. But, it will all be decided tonight. And hopefully it will be decided by a good game in which both teams play to the best of their ability, the coaches coach a good game, and the officials call a good game.  That way there won't be anyone on here tomorrow saying "well, cleveland should have won if it weren't for fumbles.... or the officials...." and vice-versa if Coldspring loses.

I know that both teams are very good teams and both have a shot of making it past the first round regardless of who their first round opponent is.

    Good luck to both.

i dont think they played huntington instead it was hj

but i agree with the end of the post

  7. i would like to say that the trojans offense is more explosive but every week it seems that a new weapon is released from cleveland. in my opinion the deciding factors will be the indians ability to play team defense and how technical that they execute their offense with out turnovers. with that said coldsprings has more than enought talent to make this game swing the other way the more that i think about it.
