  1. Great games dogs!!!! Good Luck to you in the play offs, and good luck on the the track tomorrow. (PNG coach has the ball)
  2. I saw this post and I had to share this with you...... I went to the Bellaire v. Westside game the other night and I sat next to a Seniors mom. As I listened to her talk about the end of the season it brings me back to serious memories and how I felt a while ago. Over the next month thousands of baseball players that are classisifed as seniors will hang up their cleats and enter into the world of college freshman. There will be a few that have signed at a college to continue playing the game that they love and a handful more that will walk on to their baseball programs at the school of their choice. During this month all the players that will no longer play baseball will run on the field for the last time, throw the ball in warm ups and slap their team mates on the butt for the last time. As each of these players walk off the field the parents will close up their chairs, pick up their worn out score books and at that moment realize they can't say to their friends see you at the next game for the first time in years. As these parents walk away they wonder....what will I do with all the extra time? *************************************************** I wish nothing but good things to all. Good Luck to ALL!!!!!!!!
  3. NO, Game was cancelled. New Caney had to cancele tonight. So they will play Brenham tomorrow @ New Caney. (District game)
  4. Thanks Bear.....He has a lot of respect for your guys as well. He was upset as to no match up this year(so far) but if all goes well he is sure to have one more shot.
  5. All right enough said about the games, Now lets see the real game everybody has been wanting to see
  6. I understand why, but.....usually the coach takes care of all the planning and setting up games. But I do understand why you are doing what your doing. All I have to say now is good luck and enjoy the ride. We did a few years ago and boy was it fun. I hope you get the chance to experence all we did, but play 1 more game than we did.
  7. Bear, I understand whats going on but it sure seems pretty bold. I know you have a good team but don't count your chickens before they hatch....Good Luck
  8. Womack did it all last week. He did everything right except give signals from the 3rd base box and umpire behind the plate. Womack should be the winner hands down. The other guys also had good weeks but not as good as Womack.
  9. They were about the same as last week. Let me check a post from the game and I will get them for you. The only thing with him is this week they played LCM and he was 0-4. Last week he had 2 good games. This week only one. Womack had 2 very good games. It should go to Womack. Womack had a super week. Nobody should be able to beat him this week....HANDS DOWN, but you never know The post that had his numbers in it is gone. So I will go from memory, I was at the game, 6 innings 1 unearned run(on a past ball) 9 K's 0 walks 3-5 1b, 2b, 2b 4 RBI's 3 runners picked off, 1st base --------------------------------------- I think he had 3 runners picked off last week also, (if not 2 for sure)
  10. Both are very deserving and good numbers. Plus they are the only team (I think) that won both games this past week. So I guess it has to be between them. Both are very good at what they do and have helped their team out in several ways. Good Luck to both of them!!!!!!
  11. I know it's a little late but if you want to count put outs, the game Powell pitched he struck out 15, fielded 2 ground balls for put outs at 1st, picked off a guy at first and also caught a line drive hit back to him. Then if you count the pasted ball that also struck out a player he had 16 k's. He also threw out a runner at second to start a double play that did not complete. The other 2 outs were a ground ball to second and a pop out to second. But other than that he had a good week. But my vote is still to the Westbrook kid. Awsome job of hitting by a great kid. But we wil let it be, the other did a great job also. Just had to add my .02.
  12. Our talent is in the Freshman and Sophomores. Thats where all the select players are. I guess Coach Green should have brought a few more of the underclassmen.
  13. Congrads on player of the week. The Kid from Westbrook had a heck of a week. I don't think you really understand what he did. But, so be it. I am sure the kid who won is very deserving. Good Luck.
  14. Branden Powell (PNG) 3-6, Single, double, triple, 3 walks, 5 RBI's, 2 runs scored 15 K's, 1 hit, complete game shutout. 0.0 ERA for the district season 0.0 unerned runs for district
  15. Branden Powell complete game. 15 k's 1 hit.
  16. This is so Tragic. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of Westbrook.
  17. Indians outhit Houston Christian 6-5 , but lost 4-2. HC has a very good baseball program. Very good game. Cody Mire pitched 5 strong innings. McInis 1. Powell 2/4, McInis 2 rbis.
  18. Bigred Nothing against the Sparks. He is a good kid and a very good pitcher. But at PNG, SOME of the teams we have played would have had very little problem with him. There is a big difference between 3A and 5A teams. PNG problem has been errors and not hitting the ball. The pitching has been fine. Good luck to your team Bigred and Good luck to Sparks.
  19. Well from what I hear he maybe pitching Friday night.
  20. Well Bears here we go and may the better team win. I just hope it is a good game on BOTH sides. By the way, I just happen to have a Purple hat if your are interested ..Good Luck to you nad Good Luck boys!!!!!!
  21. MIF04...It seems PNG is playing for 3rd place already. So with that being said I guess LCM and Nederland are already in. District has just started and I don't think things are the way they seem. I think you are counting the NDN's out before you even see them play. I know you have only seen them play one time and as you know anybody can have a bad tournament or a bad game here and there. Now I am not saying they are the hot team and yes they do have some problems, but considering everything, they have not been playing real bad baseball. We will see how all this comes out. Again anybody can beat anybody in this game, after all Westbrook did beat Kingwood last night. I am not trying to take anything away from Westbrook. They played hard and won and it was a good win for the team but it is way to early for anybody to already know who and where they will end up. Good Luck to all!!!!! (All this makes for interesting reading)
  22. Games cancelled at Baytown Sterling today. They had covered the field last night and the sprinkler system came on and flooded the field
  23. Game 2 against Clear Brook Branden Powell goes 6 innings and gives up 6 hits and K's 12 and walks 1. Shawn Flores closes out the 7th inning with 1 k, 1 walk and 1 hit and they loose again 4-2. PNG commits 4 errors and has 6 hits in this game. Not a very good day for the Indians, BUT the pitching was good enough to win both games. The sticks have to come to life for PNG to survive. The defence will have to play better or it will be a short season for PNG. I know it's still early but today was a mixed up day for the NDN'S. PNG plays tomorrow at 1:30 at Baytown Sterling. Not sure who they play yet.   If I know coach Stone, I would not like to be at practice next week at the Reservation.
  24. It didn't go very well today...Cody Mire pitched a good game today. Giving up 3 hits in 3 innings. Jeremy Dominge gave up a few hits in his Varsity debut and Kyle Abbout did a good job in his Varsity debute. Chris Heare goes 2-3 and Eric Harrington had a hit, and PNG puts up a 1-0 lead in the top of the first. This was the bright spots for the game. BUT...... Texas City scores 4 runs on 5 errors in the 1st inning. All together PNG commits 7 errors with 3 hits and looses 8-5 in the early game. PNG pitching also struck out 12 of their batters today in this game.
