Pitchers duel tonight, Harwood pitched 5 innings and gave up 1 hit (Ball misjudged by right fielder) 2 walks and 8K's. PNG had one 1 hit by SS Chris Hearne, but after all is said n done PNG comes out on top 2-1. Taylor McInnis comes in for the 6th and 7th and holds the game in check for PNG. Good game but the bats are going to have to come alive in order to get things going. Good win guys. Tomorrow PNG plays at 3:45 (Texas City) and 6:15 (Clear Brook) at LaPorte. Good Luck NDN'S

Not to be distasteful, but I don't see Nederland going undeated this year in District. They lost alot last year and they have alot to replace. I don't think any team will go undeated this year. Vidor made a late charge last year and I don't think they lost to much. Coach Green will have then ready to play so don't over look them. It will be

Matt Morgan had a good day with a couple of singles and doubles. Branden Powell had a couple of singles and a double. Cody mire also the same. Bucanan had a good day with 2 doubles and a couple of singles. Harwood had a couple of singles. McInnis also had 2 doubles with the 2 blasts. Most all hit the ball pretty well and were very alert on the base paths. They had one inning where the infield had a few brain farts but it is getting better. It should be a good game between LCM and PNG this year. Make sure and get their early. This should be a real barn burner.

PNG did pretty good today. They allowed 4 runs over a day filled with alot of sunshine and breezy winds out of the North. Pitching was better today around. Lufkin and Bryan are both pretty good teams. Harwood, Mire Powell, Abbout, Domginue,Walker all pitched very well. Looks like they are getting in the zone with Tournaments coming up they better or it will be a long season. McInnis was POUNDING the ball today with 2 home runs into left center into the wind. They had alot of positives today against 2 pretty goods teams. If I remember right I think the games went 3-1, 5-1, 6-0, 1-2, and 5-0 each so called game lasting about 1 hour each. It has the makings of a great year for the NDN's. Good Luck guys!!!!!

We are playing today starting at 11:00 at PNG. Come on out, but make sure and bundle up.

PNG will Host Lufkin/Bryan @ PNG all starts at 11:00. **If you come by don't forget to bring some chairs. I am not sure about now but Tuesday against Jasper we had no back stop. The netting is not up yet. We will had some fans sitting back there watching the game. :shock:
