1. Are your progam heights listed usually a few inches taller than how tall a player really is? The COACHES have them listed at 6'5", 6'4" and 6'4". When I played, my program height was 5'10". I was near 5'9" I'm just saying.  :-\
 2. Kountze = Big East Team (Pitt, Nova) - constant pressure, lots of scoring
 3. Wow! This reminds me of the old Kountze/EC games! Track meet!
 4.
It was a joke my man.  It has the karma on the side where you can smite someone if you dont like what they say and it gives you good or bad karma.  I was joking.  And you are from Kountze, I am talking about where I come from, that is the relevance.  I only support Woden beacuse I coached the kids that are playing there the last two years and I like CH because the play good basketball.  Every possession is taken of importance.  It dosent have anything to do with the 2 districts, just letting you know there is more out there than Kountze.  Evidentally you played at Kountze or wished you did.  Just making a point.
Gotcha. Born and raised in Kountze. Football, Basketball and Track athlete from 97-00. Kountze Basketball is in my BLOOD!!  :D :D
 5.
No, but Im thinking of smiting you so be careful!!
What will smiting me hurt?  :D :D :D I've never understood that.
 6.
I have no allegience to Woden (other than I coached there and like the boys) and I like the way CH plays.  They just dont throw the ball out and run up and down the court.   That being said, I played at a 2A school that would have drummed you as bad as we wanted, it was a little town called Troup.
And what relevance does that offer to this discussion of 22-2A and 24-2A?  ???
 7.
Crockett is argueablly the number 1 team in the state and they only scored 62 points on them.  Your MIND is full of inaccuracies. Woodville was up as high as a kite for the CH game, that is why they followed with two down games to Woden and SA. They went from being number one in district to tied for 3rd.  They are inconsitent where CH is not. Central Heights can play with anyone in your district.  We will see when the playoffs get here, until then it just an opinion and we are wasting our lives arguing back and forth and Im not an idiot so Im not going to argue with one anymore.
Are you okay? Are your feelings hurt? As far as I can recall no one on here has called you an idiot.
 8. This whole thread remembers me alot like the 06-07 year when Woden came out of District 22 and thought they were HUGE favorite to defeat Kountze, only to lose by 22 points. We heard some of the exact things that you're saying now about Central Heights.
 9.

Kountze would beat any team in that district!
Kountze sucks
Says the fan whose team gets manhandled everytime they play Kountze.... :D :D 12/22/09: Kountze - 109, SA - 61 12/29/09: Kountze - 103, SA - 56 2/27/09: Kountze - 49, SA - 41 12/23/09: Kountze - 78, SA - 62
 10.
I guarantee you CH can play with EC and Kountze.  They will probably meet in the playoffs.  Kountze and EC better be ready to play a different tempo than they are used to and be ready to go up against 4 guys who are 6'5 to 6'6".  They have guards as well.  The only thing holding CH out of the top 10 is their guard play, they are not shooting the ball like they did last year.  It was like someone posted about the Gustufson kid from Hj not being able to find his shot.  It happens, but if CH does they will very hard to beat.  For one you are not going to score over 50 on them and it will more than likely be in the 40's or 30's.  They are tough to score on.  My opinion is that 24-2A has 2 good teams and 22-2A has 4 good teams.  They can play and beat Kountze and EC.
Your whole post has inaccuracies in it. You said they we're not going to score 50 on them. In your loss against Crockett they scored 62 points on you and you were defeated by 23 pts. You said you have 4 guys who are 6'5" - 6'6". Looking at your roster, it seems that your tallest guy is only 6'5" with the others coming in at 6'3" and 6'4". The reason "utfan06" pointed out guard play is because you will need good guard play to handle the pressure that Kountze applies the whole game. You will rarely face a team that applies pressure like Kountze, trust me. Looking at your schedule, you've only faced TWO athletic teams. Tatum, whom you defeated while the bulk of their team was either still in the football playoffs or fresh off the field. You lost to the other one, Crockett. Kountze forces teams to play THEIR tempo due to the pressure they apply which frustrates even the best of teams.
 11.
Only shooting, and when I say struggle.  I mean they are only hitting 1-2 threes a game compared to 3-4 a game.  They handle press just fine.
If they lost to Woodville (at home), then this case is closed... They would probably even lose to Anahuac from the Kountze/EC district.

 13. The game will be video-streamed LIVE on FoxSportsSouthwest.com tomorrow night at 7pm.
Two of the state’s top five-ranked Class 4A boys basketball squads will meet on Monday in a district clash. La Marque (22-1), the No. 1 team in the state according to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches and Ball (22-2), ranked No. 5 as of Sunday, will have their first of two District 24-4A meetings at 7 p.m. Monday at Phillips Fieldhouse in Pasadena. The game was moved to a neutral site to accommodate the large crowd that is expected. All 2,500 tickets distributed to the schools sold out last week and no tickets will be available at the door. No passes of any kind will be accepted for entry. A video webcast will be streamed live on FoxSportsSouthwest.com. A live streaming audio feed will be provided by TSRN Sports (tsrnsports.com) and CMC Communications via Houston 5A Baseball (h5ab.com).
14.
But it's still missing personel, contrary to what you posted. ;) I am not that certain on the "operating in the same manner" but I agree the result would have been the same. ;D
One would be naive to think that a head coach missing from a team's sideline doesn't have some affect on how a team plays. Especially one with as much emotion as Williams.
All ticket are with the GB--LM school dist.  :D :D :D no ticket at the door.
This game is SOLD OUT. NO more tickets. Each school got 2500 tickets Monday and were sold out by Tuesday. They should move this game to a bigger arena. I don't understand why schools do limit themselves in this way. Two good teams and they will schedule it in a gym where only a select few of people can attend. Why not schedule it to where anyone who wanted to watch could attend. It is not often that you can put a team on the floor and it sales the gymnasium out.
They've already moved the game to Pasadena. How far do you want them to go for a district matchup?

 18.
Well new waverly lost to liberty.... shepherd beat liberty... kountze beat shepherd by like 30 lol
I saw that. Maybe New Waverly lost someone to grades recently. Something major has definitely happened with their team in the past month.
 19.
Well I don't think New Waverly is near what they have been...
This has been an up-and-down year for them but even with all that they've played GREAT defense! I would love to hear how the game went.
 20. Wow! I knew Crockett would win the game by 20+ I just didn't think it would be THAT bad! I do know the game was played in Crockett. Kind of curious as to what happened with New Waverly in the game. They usually play great defense and can hold good teams to around 60 points. If Kountze and Crockett both win their district they won't face each other until the Regional Final.
 21.

Where is 4A Regional Tournament held at AAW? Sadly, there will not be any Regional Matchups at the Berry Center in Cypress for the next 2 seasons.

Always went to TJC for 2A, but I understand they are moving it to SFA this year(mistake in my opinion, I love TJC).  I wonder if they are going to continue the 1A Regionals at SFA as well.
That's news to me about 2A moving to SFA. I am curious as to if they will have all three regionals there, 2A, 1A DI, and 1A DII.
2A and 1A just switched locations for Region III Tournament Sites for the next 2 seaons.

The thing with "youngsters" and rankings is that they sometimes have the tendency to let their ranking "go to their head". Let's finish the season strong!
