Of all the schools in the SLC, HBU likely has the best recruiting base other than UTA!!!!!  Now that they are adding football, they will be able to get good kids.  Just like UTSA has been able to do, even though they are moving to the WAC!!! Have any of you ever been on HBU campus????  It is very nice, it is small, but very nice.  There facilities will be as well.  I agree about there current gym.  I know of 20 area high schools that have nicer gyms!!!!

Let me see, doesn't Nicholls average about 500 people for conference games????  So who cares?  Already in the works for a new basketball arena at HBU, and that comes from an basketball alum at HBU!!!!  Coach Cotrell is a great coach over there as well!!!!!  Remember little 'ol HBU dang near beat LU in the Montagne about 15 years ago!!!!!

Highway 105 into Sour Lake.  Turn left at only light which is Hwy 326, and go approx. 3 miles and new school is on left side of highway. OR You can take Hwy 326 out of Nederland, and follow all the way to Sour Lake.  School will be on your right approx. 4 miles past stop light in Nome.

Team that scores the most points will win!!! Expecting a really good crowd........home opener for HJ, and Nederland always travels well!!!

I think it is a good move. Let me pose this question, and keep in mind that I am all for LU moving up to the WAC or the Sun Belt.  How would LU make the Wac or the Sunbelt better????

I remember HBU giving LU a scare in the Montagne about 15 years ago.....they could not stop Bob Sanders from down town!!!!  HBU will be a good addition to the SLC!!!  And another close trip for LU to travel to play at HBU!!!
