the UIL is the greatest organization of its type in the world.  Interscholastic organizations from all over the nation pattern themselves after the UIL.  It has done an excellent job from its first year in 1910 and is still doing a fine job.
You have to be a UIL person, or, you are beyond blind as to what has occurred the last 5-10 years power-grab wise.
Negative karma right back atcha'.  ;D
Call me "beyond blind" because I have no idea what you are talking about.  Can you shed some light on what you mean?
  2. I am not familiar with any team called Dulles Foster, although there is a Rosenberg Foster (not in our district) that usually makes the playoffs.  Maybe the full name is Dulles Foster.

Friendswood HS has an enrollment of somewhere around 2,000; so presumably about 1,000 girls.  Although there are variations from year to year, the FHS coach usually has from 15 to 25 Premier/D1 players to choose from when building her team.  And, as I noted in response to your earlier post, they do quite well against the other elite 4A and 5A programs.

Again, not trying to slight Kelly in the least.  Good luck in your games aginst all!!
  3. Let me begin by saying that I am a fan of the Kelly team, and their coach.  I was simply responding to the "against any team in the area" comment by Golden Boy.

Having said that, I find it hard to understand your point since there are no "similarly sized" public schools that actually play soccer.  In your opinion, do you think that Kelly could beat, or even closely compete against, the PNG girls this year?  I would think that PNG beats them easily.

As for your prediction that Friendswood would "struggle" against "the better, larger 5A schools," you are just plain wrong.  In fact, Friendswood does play "the better, larger 5A schools" every year, and wins an overwhelming majority of those games.  By way of example, over just the last few years, Freindswood has played and defeated such 5A playoff teams as Cinco Ranch, Katy, Clear Lake, Clear Brook, Clear Creek, Seven Lakes, The Woodlands, Cy-Fair, Klein and Memorial (to name just a few).

I have watched Ursuline play a few times over the years, and they are by far the gold standard when it comes to private school teams.  However, they are nowhere near as good as Freindswood (or any of the other top 4A teams like Highland Park, Rider, the McKinney teams, etc.).  The typical Friendswood team would simply overwhelm the typical Ursuline team.  Even with the best posible coaching, the disparity in soccer talent and athleticism would just be too much.

He won't be anywhere to be found mamjag. I recall frienswoodfan disppearing last year and people calling on him after talking trash. I can't remember if it was baseball or softball but he was bumping his gums then hid after a thumping.
That's a lie -- just like the lie about PNG having a good team and good fans!!  ;D

As everyone who logs in to this site knows (mostlly because they hate it), I am almost always right!  And, on those incredibly rare occasions when I am wrong (like Friendswood vs. Nederland baseball last year), I ALWAYS log on to congratulate the other team and NEVER make excuses!

Funny Freindywoodfan you used the same logic as to the reason that fRiendywoody is better than the entire 20-4A because you guys beat up on a down trodden Nederland who had just lost 4 defensive starters and a UT signed baseball player at QB WOOOOHOOOOOOO Friendywoody is good. If the GCM pats are weak and mediocre as you all say then Friendy is only 1 game better. 7-4 vrs 7-3 says alot. Once again you are embarassing your self amongsts the football community. Friendy are you 15 or 16?
Actually, we also whipped a dang good Dayton squad (again) that is better than every team in 20-4A!!  Or did you not realize that?

And, it's actually not "the same logic."  I'll go slow here so you can keep up jackie boy!.  You see, Soulja used Central's game agianst Angleton from last year to suggest that Central was better than Friendswood this year.  There is an element of logic to that -- not a lot, but some.  But, the fly (or should I say roach) in the ointment so to speak is that he forgot (ignored is more like it) that Friendswood beat Central last year.  You see, it's not logical to look at only some of last year's results to extrapolate (big word, sorry jackie, to project) to this year. Think about it some, and talk to you daddies if you don't understand!  ;D  ;)
First of all, you need to get off of LaMarque's jock strap.  We're talking about Central/Friendswood here.  Also if FW have 2 LB's that's as good as #44 from Central, don't you think they would have had a better Season record than 7-3?  I see that 2 of your losses have been by double digits.  One of them at the hands of Angleton.  You know, the same Angleton that we took down last year.  Look at our record.  Yes, we have 3 losses as well, but all 3 of those games was by 1 score.  You know, we lost either by a FG or a TD...  But you know, go ahead and pull for Galveston county or whatever.  For the record, we destroyed Galveston Ball.  I bet you hate that!   :-* :-*
I love the "Soulja logic" -- Central is better than Angleton because they beat Angleton last year, and Central is, therefore, better than Friendswood this year because Angleton (who Central beat last year) beat Friendswood this year.  Hmm, the only problem with that is what ????  Oh yeah, Friendswood beat Central last year!

    HaHa!!!!

You Central fans, and maybe fws, have far more experience than me with roaches, so I will stay out of that part of the debate.

I agree with dziii that a key to this game is the battle between the Central dbacks and the Mustang QB/receivers.  Notwithstanding Central's speed, I do not see Central scoring a lot on the Friendswood defense -- probably one or two big plays but otherwise Friendswood is too big and strong.  Thus, for Central to keep it close, their defense has to force Friendswood into mistakes.  I still see FW pulling away in the 2nd half.

Your surrounded by bayous...now you claim there isn't roaches either.....Friendswood...oh I know .....A place where the beer flows like wine. Where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. I'm talking about a little place called Friendswood.... ::) ::)

    Now that's funny.  By far, SgtRey's best post ever.   ;D  ;D  I literally died laughing!!!  :D  :D

I have always liked Friendswood for their year to year success but after listening to FW Fan post what he/she has posted this year about numerous teams and the total lack of class and sportsmanship he/she has done it with I hope it's a Jag's blowout.

I would be pulling for the Jag's anyway because I support my local teams and will be there in the stands in my purple & white. If the UIL would allow I'd pay $1k to see FW Fan suit up and let #44 Hale have one good shot!

    Go Jag's and go NDN's!
Do not let one fan change your thoughts about a whole town. PNG and FW have a lot in common, small town, tons of community support and raising kids the right way. Do not blame you for sticking with the local district. Good luck and hope it is a great game!
And do not think all FW fans are sycophants like fwstangs.  She is so worried about being accepted by the the fans of the opposition, that she is reduced to offering mindless platitudes -- unless you really get her panties tied up and then she'll call you a tool!  ;D

Truth is, NDN, we wouldn't have it any other way than with you rooting for Central.  I kinda bet that gets under your skin though -- doesn't it?  You know, having to root for Central!!!
  10. Wow, judging by all the whining, crying, fictional fumble stories, and name calling from you Jag fans after you lost last year, I would have bet anything that it was personal back then!!!  I cannot imagine what it is going to be like this year -- when you lose again.  ;D

You should talk to some of your Dayton friends about what it is like to play Friendswood two years in a row.  Even for a first class team like Dayton it just does not get any easier -- and let me tell you, Central is a good team, but they are definitely NO Dayton.

The Friendswood offense is only slightly less potent as last year, but is still plenty good!  And, the Friendswood defense is much better than last year.  I see the Mustangs pulling away late to win by 10.

    Predictions?
]

Why is it personal? Because of one fan on a forum who is probably younger than your kids? Geez. Not personal for me. Central is a good team. We need to play well to win. I guess that about sums it up! Oh we could go into the game by game vs similar team thing - but we all know how that works! We could talk about strength of schedule and strength of district, but we know how well that works. Practice hard, stay healthy, play the game with class, have fun and good luck to both teams. We will be rooting for all Region 3 teams that advance.

Our coached handled a touchy game last nite with class, and our fans appreciated it.

The only thing worse than a PNG fan, is a fellow Friendswood fan who tries to kiss up to the enemy to avoid the heat.  Get off your knees Fwstangs!!!

Are people actually anticipating my posts now?  I am starting to think that the owners of this website should pay me for generating activity!   ;)

Congratulations to Central for what sounds like a thrilling come from behind win!  I actually am anticipating a very good game between two very good teams on Saturday.  I do think the Stangs are the better team, but not so much that the outcome is free from doubt.  To me Central is by far the best team from an otherwise pretty weak district 20-4A -- which made the losses during the season somewhat surprising.

BTW, 3 of 4 teams from 24-4A are still alive, and will all be favored this week!  ;D

Yeah, that article was a little tacky  ::)!  I mean, half of the comments that were made on here were not by PNG fans anyway!  I could understand if our players were trash talking their team, but to say your team got motivated by a bunch of "cyber bullies" and "laptop coaches"  is just plain funny!  The funniest thing is when he said "they aint all that"!  Umm...any team that can be down 20 points and come back to almost whip your *ss IS all THAT! It just wasn't our night, and most of us DO accept that!

Oh, what the heck was that "dance" their kickoff team was doing???    ???
Looked like a bunch of cats in a litter box....lol!!
Spoken like a true sore loser!!!!
  15. Congratulations to the PNG players and coaches for a fine season.  There is no shame in losing to a better team.

To the PNG fans, I am sure many of you are great people, and for you I am sad because you have an uncanny number of truly obnoxious, ignorant, sore (or should I say soar) losers among your ranks!  Nothing could be more fitting than the fact that their supposed "spirit" on this forum backfired on PNG by motivating the Brenham team!  A truly perfect end to the brief reign of such a bunch of loser fans!

Well, I have to go watch Friendswood advance to the next round of the playoffs!!  Bye bye PNG!   ;D ;)
