Saturday day games in September would be miserable because of the still sumertime temperatures.

What time is the game going to be?

I wish we had one of those at Bridge City. One would believe that there is enough industry in Orange county that all the high schools in Orange county could have one of those.

HF looked pretty good last Friday and EC looked good but played a much closser game so I will go with HF in a close one.

WOS has the best scoreboard in southeast Texas. It always shows them winning.

That is why the UIL has diferent classifications. It is probalby just as hard for a 3A school to win state as it is for a 5A school in their respected classifications. Not in all cases but in almost all the 5A school would beat the 3A school in a contest. That is why schools aren't allowed to play another classification that is two levels away. You will not see WOS play West Brook but you can see WOS play Lumberton. The UIL does not use the term "Big Boy School" when describing 4A and 5A schools. They are simply known as larger classification schools. Of course this means the number of students enroled.

I have to go with Orangefield in this one. Go Bobcats.

Lumberton did beat BC last year but it was because of a good play by a Lumberton defender. He stripped the ball from a BC receiver when BC was marching in for the winning score. It was a good game by both teams. This year Lumberton has a lot of returning tallented players. They are a much better team than they were last year. I do believe they will be victorious this Friday night. I also believe BC will score on Lumberton. BC still has a lot of tweaking to do on it's offence still but there is some bright spots in it also. The quarter back has some speed and BC does have some plays to utilize his speed. BC is small and Lumberton has a decent defensive line so it may be hard to keep the quarterback protected. On defense BC has made some changes in it's lineup since the last game. The defensive secondary needs to get a lot better to be able to stop Lumberton's passing game. They are decent against the run but Lumberton passes the ball a lot. At least they did last year. I say the score could be 35-14. Lumberton. BC will get better as the season progresses.

PNG's offense did not click tonight. Defense played pretty good but Crosby shot themselves in the foot with all their penalties.
