Come on WOS and BC fans we all know that BC will not win this game barring some kind of mirracle. What BC needs tonight is to play with pride and have fun. That is what it is all about. No player is being paid to play so it has to be for fun. BC players if you play your best and not worry about weather you win or loose then you just may enjoy the game. You are not where WOS is at at this time and I don't know if you will be there in a year or two. You can get there. Any team can if they have the right coach and work hard both durinng the season and during the off season. Some of you players are playing well. Some still have some seasoning to do. I believe it is the younger players that need to build more confidence and get bigger and stronger during the off season. That is not to say that some of the younger players are not playing well now. You will be a year older next year so you should expect to be better next year. You sohpmores should expect to really be good, not only next year but by the time you are seniors. By that time you will have many underclassmen that are experienced with the system and be able to contribute well. After the game congratulate the WOS players on the fine season they had and wish them luck in the play-offs. They have been running the same offense and defence for many years so they should be good. Again try your best and enjoy the last game. Tomorrow starts the off season. And good luck to both teams to have a injury free game.

PNG and Dayton are in the play-offs no mater what. But they are fighting for a district championship. Lumberton and Nederland are fighting for a play-off spot. Which do you think is most important.

I would be supprised if BC is under 700. With all the new homes going up in BC I would believe the school district is growing. I know that some of the new homes are owned by older people but not all of them. If the high school enrolement is going down it will be back up in a few years as the kids in school now get older. Also look for almost all of the schools in the area to increase in enrolement when Motiva starts hireing for their expansion project.

I think it is disrespectable for any visiting team players to jump up and down on the home teams logo. Isn't that what Terrell Owens did?

That would mean something if everyone had played the exact same schedule.

Penetrations are not counted as tie breakers any more. And only the teams that are tied use the tie breakers. In other words Bridge City will not be tied with another team for a play-off spot so the scores in any of their games is a mute point. If two teams are tied for a play-off spot then the tie breaker is the head to head score, who beat who, to decide the representative. If three or more are tied then the tie breaker is determined by the score of the three teams tied. If team "A" beats team "C" by a score of 28 to 7 then team "A" gets to count a +15, the highest point total you can get. Team "C" will have -15 points. If team "C" beats team "B" by a score of 14 to 6 then team "C" is awarted +8 points and team "B" gets -8 points. If team "B" beats team "A" by a score of 8 to 7 then team "B" gets awarded +1 and team "A" gets -1. Add up all the scores and you have team "A" with +14 points, team "B" with -7, and team "C" with -7. If all three teams were tied for first place then team "A" would be declared the winner because of the point total of +14 points. Teams "B" and "C" would still be tied with -7 points each so the tie breaker would be the head to head contest which would be team "C" getting second because of its win over team "B". If this explination is correct and I think it is then there is no reason to run up a score purposely. I could be wrong about how this works but I think I am right. Please understand I am not saying anybody purposely ran up the score I am just trying to explain to the poster how the tie breakers work.

I may be wrong but I thought both feet had to be in bounds in high school football. ???

I can agree with most of your post. However, BC does not seem to be getting worse. As you stated the opponents are a little stronger than some previous opponents. And don't for get that the other teams are playing just as many games and improving as the season progresses also.

Would love to play in it if I wasn't too old. I love cold weather.

PNG's headress is very impressive. My vote goes to them.

I agree. It is easy to take a team that is struggling too easy. PNG needs to play with the same intensity they played against Nederland and Lumberton for the rest of the district games. If they do and then play that way in the play-offs they will do very well in the play-offs.

Sounds like sauer grapes to me. Next year is next year and is still yet to be played. This is this year and it looks like PNG was the better team at least that night.
