I think it will be fine for 4A and 5A. I'm glad 3A went against it. We would have a tough time keeping our numbers up if they were running another 1.1

They said at the meet that it could possibly be the fastest in the state so far.

It was a big win for the girls last night. Anytime you can be OF in any sport right now you have to be happy. They have some great kids right now.

I was wondering how Trey ran last year and didn't see his name at the Big 12 finals so I went and looked at OU's roster and couldn't find him. Is he not running? Is he only playing football?

I believe I have contacted all the local schools but perhaps I missed one. Nederland moved their meet up a week this year so I would like to fill the next week with a meet if I can. Any meets being held February 16,17, or 18?

Can we get some new uniforms to go along with these changes?

Awesome Job!!! Great to see a local team make it all the way to the big dance. Abiliene Wylie is going to extemely tough. They have made it look pretty easy so far, but I do believe Tarkington has had a tougher road of competition to get them. Beat Wylie and Stun Lovejoy...Good Luck.

Tarkington won in 5. 25-13 25-19 24-26 19-25 15-12 They have the ability to make it to state this year.

I found this on sportsgram.net. Didn't live up to a #1 vs #2 billing. Lovejoy 3 Argyle 0 25-15 25-10 25-17 I think we are seeing how good this team is. Sure hope they move up to 4A. I believe they would win state in 4A as well. Ryan Mitchell is a great coach. I had two opportunities to talk with him and he's just flat out got his stuff together.

Just as we watched #1 LSU and #2 Alabama fight it this past weekend (many say this was the true national championship) #1 Lucas Lovejoy (3 time defending state champions) and #2 Argyle will battle it out Tuesday night. Should be a great match!!!

[/quote] Seems like it will become a stacked district on both sides. This would be a tough district in football, volleyball, cross country, baseball, softball, and track. I'm not sure if Huffman and Liberty would make the district tougher in basketball (I haven't watched either one of them play in a while), but I do believe you would see teams sitting at home that would be playoff teams if in a different district.

I don't see that happening. Looking at mapquest (I know it may not be exactly accurate) for Huffman to leave their district they would have some MAJOR traveling. I think Huffman and Liberty stay where they are and Buna goes North and our district stays the same. It's going to an exciting day in Feb.

OF has the ability to hang with Tarkington when they are playing good ball, they can take Columbus down if they play good ball.

Nederland usually has their meet the week of the 16th but on Friday. I don't know for sure but I'm guessing their meet will be on Feb. 17th.

I believe Buna turned in numbers that will likely move them to 3A. Any thoughts on what will happen to our local 3A district? Will Buna be added and carry 7 teams or will we see some type of shake-up?

Huffman vs LaGrange. Rematch from last year. I see the same result coming but you never know; I would have never picked Willis to beat Brenham. It's why they play the game. Orangefield vs. Columbus. Orangefield can win this game.

BC boys won and HF girls won (that's what I was told before I left). Nederland boys won and the 4A girls were running when I left.

Great job by Ozen but man, gotta feel for Lumberton. How many district matches have they lost 3-2? I think I've seen it 4 times this year. They win those 4 games they are in the playoff hunt. Hang in there and keep playing hard.

Hardin's 1st in the district and Buna is 2nd. Is Deweyville tied with Kountze and Warren for 3rd?
