Every offense is successful because they have a good offensive line. No-Line=No-Offense. The spread utilizes all the same talent as the double wing. You spread the field sideline to sideline and run the ball (just like Woodville does now) between the tackles. Then you throw it quick on the perimeter to your play makers (just like Woodville does now with the toss sweep). The difference would be, that Woodville would be able to threaten the defense down the field by throwing the ball. And, they would be able to defend the PASS because they faced it everyday in practice.

I can understand why you say you are very happy with your coach in Woodville and you should be. You were also very happy with the coach that left, that brought in the current offensive system you are using, and you should be. There has been a lot of success with the system and the coaches and that is not to be discounted. However, with the wave of talent in Woodville right now, I venture to say that TF would have been more competitive against the Big Boys that yall lose to in the playoffs on a yearly basis.

I hope you are right, I hope it is a shoot out. Good luck to your son, I hope he turns some heads and gets some bigger offers going forward.

I really think Splendora has the most complete team.

Shug will put on a show today. He really doesn't need the added motivation, but with Herman in the building, his laser like focus will be even more refined.

Huntsville 14 Lamar Consolidated 7/FINAL

A loss to Huntsville is not a bad thing, but the fact that you gave up 30+ points to an anemic offense does not look great. -
Port Neches-Groves 48 Crosby 45/FINAL

True story. If Crosby somehow made it to the State Championship game, he would no longer be under contract with Crosby ISD when the game is played. -

You do realize that a High School Football Coaches job is to win games, right? This is not a College Farm System. His job is to do what he feels is best for the TEAM. His job is to put players in position to use their individual talents to insure the TEAMS success. -

I think this one will be closer than many think and much closer than Liberty fans want to believe. -

Aren't we all, I feel like I'm crazy most of the time, then usually around 3:30, i realize it's not a feeling and I really am STARK RAVING MAD. But, you and I are usually on the same page, so if I'm giving you a hard time, I'm probably just messing with you.
-
Just messing with you Brother. I knew what you were saying. Sometimes throwing the ball is only thing that gives a team a chance to win, but it also the one thing that can turn a lopsided win into a complete an total BLOW OUT!!!!

Tonight will either answer a lot of questions for the Raiders or open up a whole big can of worms.

Lumberton 38 Huffman Hargrave 31/FINAL-OT

I think Huffman's passing attack gives Lumberton fits, but the home team always seem to have an advantage. I would be surprised if the outcome was anymore than 10 points difference. I'm taking the..... Falcons 31 Raiders 24 -

Nothin wrong with slingin the ole tater round a bit now an again. Don't be such a hater. Woodville better watch out for those phantom holding and pass interference calls, those penalties can be killers.
-
Brilliant!!!
-
Even more reason why Splendora may be the only team with a shot to run the table.
-
The only team i can see running the table is Splendora. But...... Lumberton does some good things and will be in every ball game. Huffman can sling it around and give people fits with the pass. LC-M will be a thorn in somebody's side and pull an upset along the way.
-
Nothing like mediocrity!!!!
-
I think Splendora has to be the District favorite as of today. If Lumberton get healthy then I think they have a shot at it as well.
-
BH blows the top off tonight. May not be enough numbers on the scoreboard to keep up with the high flying Eagles.
