The thing is, Silsbee already had experience playing Argyle. Played them in Whataburger tourney two straight years and beat them each time in low scoring affair. Silsbee is 3-0 vs. Argyle. But, it's those type teams that worry me the most when playing Silsbee. The Yates, Washingtons and Carters of the world don't scare me when it comes to the Tigers. They do what Silsbee likes to do. In 2019 regional final, Silsbee was defeating Yates until Yates head coach Greg Wise chose to slow the game down to take advantage of his teams size. When Greg Wise decides to "slow it down", that says all you need to know. If Silsbee faces Faith Family in finals, you can bet FF will try to slow the pace to take advantage of their size.

Kountze will be primed for another deep playoff run next year with 7 all district players returning including district MVP Sells. It will be Kountze's district to lose next season.

That's the rumor. Lions Club is wanting out of it. Our voter panel has changed drastically this year too. Some have left the business and were replaced by some newbies. But the big deal is we are getting less and less of local coaches nominating players. I hope it continues but won't be surprised if it doesn't.

Yes. Losing just one significant contributor. Three best players return. -

Silsbee played Randall in the TABC Classic this summer. Silsbee beat Randall by 8 and that was with basically the whole team driving up from 7 on 7 state tournament and playing them that evening. Miller, Bottley, Elam, Johnson and others just played 2 days of 7 on 7. I see Silsbee winning this one by 10
