  7. Spring hasn't got here yet. Are you talking about Summer League back in July or Fall Ball in September when neither team had it's full roster of varsity players?

  9. Ok. But he has been there a couple years now. Silsbee also has a couple players on the team that transferred in so can't cry about losing players, particularly ones who were suspended by the school.
  10. Let's get our facts straight here. The player that you are talking about was suspended by the school for pulling a fire alarm. He was going to have to sit out 2-3 games for his punishment. He chose to quit and it was mainly because his mother went up to the school and acted a fool about the incident and didn't think her son should be punished. I did hear that they were considering enrolling in another school to finish out the school year. Not sure that is true. As for him being a starter. He was what I consider a part time starter. He started most of the games, but didn't play a whole lot of minutes, particularly in crunch time. He turned the ball over way too frequently and didn't shoot the ball very well. I think Silsbee will be just fine without him minus the fact that they do lose a player that gave them some minutes and depth. Who is this 3rd player you speak of that will be playing for another school? I know about Peyton.
  11. I did the math and I am choosing to draw at 62. If I waited till I am 67 to draw full benefits, it would take me to I am 82 to make up that difference. I am probably dead before then.

  15. Has Scales signed or has any offers?
  16. Hamshire-Fannett was not missing anyone. I spoke with Coach Wynn of Tarkington. He said his guys played lights out, particularly that 1st quarter. Couldn't miss and were relentless on defense. He hopes that this can carry the rest of the season and give them a shot at playoff spot. He also wished this would have happened earlier in district play.

  18. I stated I haven't used the card in a very long time. My wife has used it periodically just to keep the card active. Very very small purchases that she pays off completely at statement time. You are correct, I may be at risk. But I just don't like having notes. Can't stand interest rates unless it puts money in my pocket.
  19. We have one credit card (Visa Gold) for extreme emergencies. Two different bank debit cards. I honestly cannot remember the last time I used a credit card. Those things get you in trouble more than they help. I am fortunate enough to have won money at the casinos that I have been able to have a cash account with those guys to use for my gambling roll.
  20. They will most definitely be D2 this year.
  21. I will not do a freeze as well. As for loans, I haven't needed one in 18 years. I buy my vehicles outright. Haven't had a car note in 15 years. Only note I have is my beach cabin which we purchased 25 years ago. Got two years left before it's paid off. Own my home in Silsbee, two vehicles, golf cart and trailer. I am very blessed. My apologies to you @thetragichippy and other bankers for not bringing you any business. lol
  22. I agree. Really haven't been challenged since December. But there is another thing that concerns me with this Orangefield team and what could derail them. It's some of the players attitudes and behaviors on the court (and in some cases off the court). A few of the players have had to miss games or half games due to discipline being it on or off the court incidents. That has to get better. In the playoffs, that can be a deciding factor if a player or two is ejected or has to miss a game or half a game. That cannot happen. I will say it's better than the season before when OF led the area in technical fouls (that info came from the local officiating chapter). This team has the talent and ability to make it to SA as long as they don't get in their own way.
