The Orangefield Bobcats (14-11, 1-1) #6 in the HoopInsider poll, will travel down to Silsbee(19-2,2-0) to do battle with the #6 state ranked and #1 HoopInsider, Tigers in 21-3A district action Friday night the 22nd @ 7:30pm. The Bobcats are coming off their first district loss of the season as they fell at home to Hardin-Jefferson, 54-40. Silsbee remained undefeated in district with a 72-47 win over Bridge City Tuesday night but it wasn't one of the better games from the Tigers. Silsbee swept Orangefield last year in district play. I could careless what team he plays for. I am not questioning that he is a good runningback. I think he is very good. I am only questioning that he runs a 4.3 40. I follow enough football, around enough football players and follow track very well. I have seen 4.3 40 guys run and what I have seen on this video, is not 4.3 speed, football speed or not.

So fouling when up by over 30 with less than a minute to play just to get the ball back just to enable yourself to score 100 points is THAT important? Priorities are pretty messed up. ::)

I would think all teams would try to not let the opponent score 100. ::)

I saw at the beginning of this highlight reel it showed Ford has a 4.3 40. I have to question that. 4.3 40 runningbacks do not get caught from behind. Ford was run down a few times on this highlight reel. Trey Franks of WOS is a legit 4.3 guy, won the 3A 100 meters. I have seen both run, Ford is no 4.3 40 guy. I will be posting Jeremy Johnson's highlight video soon. JJ is a 4.5 40 guy and you'll see him run away from defenders several times. I say this not saying that Ford isn't fast, he is just not 4.3 fast.

In this case, Yates didn't "need" to score, they were up by 30 with less than 2 minutes to play. I see that as a big difference. A team holding the ball with under 2 minutes left leading by 30 is doing what they can to keep it from getting out of hand. If a team is holding the ball and is trailing by 30 with under 2 minutes to play, then why would the team that is leading care if they did that? That would insure a win for them.
