I spoke to the person in charge of Jack Yates Hoops media relations and he said they will be playing a warm up game but not against Kountze. He said they are working on getting an opponent. He said he would get back with me real soon. I asked if Kountze is a possibility and he said according to Coach Wise, no. Not sure where you guys are getting this confirmation of this game being played. I told him that if this game were to take place that I wanted to come broadcast this game. He assured me that Kountze would not be their opponent in a warm up game. I do not know who to believe.

TABC state polls have been updated in sticky topic up top of forum. Our area gained two teams in the polls (4A #21 Ozen, 3A #25 Cleveland) but lost two teams (4A Nederland, 1A DI Broaddus)

Did anyone see this coming for Lamar men's basketball this season? Folks were commenting on how that tough non conference schedule would get them ready for conference play. Not sure that was a good idea now.

No shot clock. Unless the UIL supplies all the clocks and installs them for free at every school in Texas (not just 5A-4A Dove) and UIL supplies a person and pays them to run these clocks at every single gym in Texas (not just 5A-4A Dove). This is really a ridiculous idea. Some schools have trouble getting people to run the scoreboard they have now.

Will not happen. Looks like Silsbee will be headed to Fort Worth for Whataburger Playoff Preview. (as long as they are not involved in any seed game)
