  1. It just depends on the zone boundaries. West Brook will take a hit in my opinion. I don't know if it will be enough for them to drop. I think Ozen will be the greatest benefactor. If divided properly, Beaumont should have 3 5A high schools. Could you imagine that district... Beaumont Central Beaumont Ozen Beaumont West Brook Lumberton Nederland Port Arthur Memorial Port Neches-Groves Vidor
  2. Little do you know but rezoning the city and enforcing it would help out Central and Ozen and take away from West Brook. I'm ready for it, long overdue...
  3. Lol...I thought it was just me...I never even read his comments, I just skip over them.
  4. And 9 starters return from that defense for the Jaguars...
  5. Ha, ha...I wasn't taking a shot at you Soulja...
  6. I've been staying off this thread because this entire subject is ridiculous...but there is always one. Why am I surprised? I shouldn't be in this day and age...
  7. Interesting Buddy on your prediction. I could see Vidor getting in and PN-G not. 34 days till kick-off at the Butch!!! Is it too early to start our prediction thread with West Brook??? Lol...
  8. And with that 16-5 district record, there are still some Jag faithful that don't support our coach. I'm not settling for mediocrity but like someone said about Faircloth, it could be worse and we have had worse in the past. The non-district and playoff record isn't pretty but not too many around here in the area are...
  9. Yea, me too. My daughter reminds me that some of mine is starting to go missing...Lol.
  10. West Brooks all black...
  11. Big Dog, those were my predictions... DC has 1. Nederland 2. Memorial 3. PN-G 4. Centrap No team in DC's top 40...
  12. For those of you that have your copy of Dave Campbell's 2016 Texas Football, turn to page 273 and look in the very top left hand corner. If that comes true, this is my prediction... 1T. Beaumont Central...9 starters return on defense. A bunch of juniors and sophomores played last year along with the district champs in JV translate to good things this year. In my opinion, with Whaley being gone, it will benefit the offense in opening it up and not being so predictable. The one district loss comes on the road against the Indians. (7-1) 1T. Port Arthur Memorial...after playing much bigger schools like North Shore, Deer Park, etc., dropping down is a big confidence booster for the Titans. Because of this, I could see them just as prolific as the team that went to the state quarterfinals a couple of years ago. Along with Coach Harrison trying to keep his job, the Titans will have no mercy on the smaller schools of the district. They do stumble cor their only district loss against the Jaguars. (7-1) 3. Nederland...Nederland is Nederland but the streak will end. He may not win district this year but they will be in the playoffs again. Bulldogs still own Indians but loose to Titans and Jaguars. (6-2) 4. Port Neches-Groves...the Indians will continue to reload. Indians will beat Jaguars but loose to Titans and Bulldogs. (6-2) 5. Lumberton...Babin and the Raiders will come up a little short of making the playoffs this go around. (4-4) 6. Vidor...the style of offense will keep them in many games, the defense will let them out. (3-5) 7. Beaumont Ozen...gone is the all district QB, all everything RB and with the coaches getting a late, equates to a long season. Lack of depth is a concern. (2-6) 8. Baytown Lee...no longer the cellar dwellers. (1-7) 9. Livingston...the new cellar dwellers. (0-8)
  13. Prepballin should be banned for posting that video!!!
  14. I do feel like you PA fans are sandbagging when it comes to wins...
  15. Well said Soulja... As a Jaguar faithful, season ticket holder, graduate and kids in the program, I don't agree with the higher ups on this one. I enjoy the trips over to the Reservation. 2 of the last 3 games with the Indians have went to OT and despite being a 2 TD loss, was pretty close for the most part last year. I enjoy our home games at the Butch but enjoy all the road games just as much. Taking away home field for any school is not what Friday nights are about. And this would cost BISD more money, money we don't have. I personally don't think this is going anywhere. See you all at the Reservation October 21st, which will decide who gets the #1 seed and who gets the #2 seed in D2...
  16. It was a bad situation the way things were handled initially but I wish this group of guys the best of luck and hopefully the Southend will support them and give them time. Here is to a 9-1 regular season (only loss coming to my Jaguars)...
  17. Jags have District Champ defense. Offense on the other hand, well...
  18. He won't be needed for that...
  19. See you in 56 days...
  20. That Edna Karr entrance is one I could see coming to the area soon...
  21. I totally agree with your very 1st sentence...
  22. Give him time Ozen faithful...
  23. Only Lord knows where we'd be if Foreman would have left and it would have taken this long to get a new coach in place at Central. I'd be a pissed off parent, alumni and supporter if my boys were in this situation. I feel bad for the returning kids over there. Ozen already suffers from depth issues, this definitely won't help. My prediction, a long and painful season for the Panthers...2-6 in district.
  24. Don't forget about the girls head volleyball coach opening from what I hear, that won't be filled until a new AD is put into place...
