He'll get 1, not 2. And it won't be on a deep go route. -

You know some Central history I see...That was Coach Stowers last year. A 1 point loss, 20-19 to Friendswood, kept them from the 5th round aka State Semi-Finals and a date with eventual state champion Lake Travis. One game at a time. We are just trying to get into the playoffs, anything is possible from there... -

I agree, like someone else referenced, the New Caney playoff game from last year (which I would like a rematch of) and the 2nd CE King playoff game that they should have won after leading the entire game. I was talking to another dad yesterday as the Jaguars practiced. I told him I seen something in the Nederland game that I hadn't seen in MANY years. Fight and not quitting from the boys. Central led most of that game until late in the 4th. As Nederland scored the late TD and later the FG to take the lead, many of the old Jaguar teams would have folded up, packed it in and quit. They would have been arguing on the sidelines and coaches walking around with their heads down. I didn't see that 2 weeks ago. It was 3rd and 35 with less than a minute to go and I watched as the offense confidently broke the huddle and picked up half the distance needed for the 1st. Then on 4th down, the QB drops back and with no hesitation tosses the 1st down to our best WR. From that point they punch it in for the win. I also told him, Nelson and Company don't "play" with the team like the predecessor did. You know who is in charge, the assistants are out actually coaching, correcting and instructing, not just hollering and fussing. Regardless of what happens Thursday, I like the direction that the football program is heading and glad to have 2 boys and a nephew under Nelson and Company... -

Ok, I went ahead and played it. Why couldn't #3 for the Indians catch the ball, he wouldn't have probably scored. Were we kicking the field goal to take the lead, tie the game up or to extend our lead? I can't even believe I'm asking those questions... -
But I'm not trying to start anything. Just saying what if and was responding to LTrains post. I think the Raider fans should support Coach Babin and what he has going. If Lumberton gets lucky enough to drop down in classification next year, his offense could be very successful.

I disagree with you here buddy. Just imagine if you had 4 WR's lined out wide and #24 in the backfield. Running lanes would be there. The QB seemed like an ok passer and runner. You alls offensive line seemed decent. You had 2 decent WR's. There are other schools across the state that are comparable in size and demographics that make the spread work.

From what I heard, Lee was trailing 21-16 but was on the verge of scoring the go ahead TD late in the game but they fumbled and Ozen returned the fumble for a TD. So instead of Lee winning 23-21, they lost 28-16. Lee is improving...

If I had to pick a winner, I'd pick Lumberton...

I say give him time. Don't run him off to quick...
-
I don't know about that. If Coach Taylor and staff load the box for the run, put their biggest DB on #11 and their quickest on #10, I could see this going in the favor of the Panthers. #24 left the game with a sprained ankle. I doubt he will be 100%.

So are you saying that the Indians are not pooch kicking all night like the Bulldogs did? -

Yea, that was supposed to be the last Varsity game at the Babe and to have it "Stolen" like that . Good thing we won a coin flip with Goose Creek Memorial for the 1st round playoff game and so our last game there was a victory, 7-0. -

I'll admit, it's going to be hard to top the Indians come from behind win over the Titans a couple of weeks ago, but I'm expecting a great game in this one as well... -

NDNMOM34 should be banned from the site for life! Just kidding but I wouldn't dare watch that video again. One time sitting in the stands at Babe Zaharias was enough... -

Not to beat a dead horse but I talked to the 4 officials that called the Lumberton/Central JV game this past week prior to the game. The jist of the conversation was that they don't go through the same trainings and gradings that they use to years ago. Anyway, I don't think officials will decide this game coming up... -

Just like everyone else that was affected by Harvey, it's back to normalcy for some at home and for some it's not. As for the actual school, there is no quick solution but the kids have adjusted better than I thought they would. I think just being back on a normal routine has helped tremendously on and off the field. -

Being that it's on a Thursday, I think we will get a good group of officials that will let the kids decide the out come of the game... -
