Silsbee over WOS in 3

Silsbee Lady Tiger coach Lindsay Leach is returning from maternity leave today for what would have been the Lady Tiger's district opener against West Orange Stark.  Unfortunately, that game has been postponed due to the loss of West Orange Stark's quarterback last Friday.  Assistant Coach Kelly Drake has done a terrific job with the Lady Tigers in Coach Leach's  absence.  Looking forward to seeing them in district action next week.

I did all I could to convince her to play.......she was not willing to take the consequnces for missing, so she decided to just not play. But then again when you coach the first team to NOT make the playoffs in 20 years.......maybe you should "change" something! [/quote] You may have spoke with them and it may be their new policy, however, I was speaking specifically of my kid and the situation we were in......that was the rule.....dont care about now. After that display of unprofessional actions, she would NOT play for them anyway, regardless of their "new" rules! You accused me of "spinning it" to the public.....NO, I didnt! I spoke the FACTS of OUR situation! Like I said, if you are the first staff to not make the playoffs in 20 years....id try something new also! On the other: it shouldnt have anything to do with a "personal" vendetta! The people of Silsbee should be informed of the lack of discipline from our athletic dept. and have a problem with their action (or lack of) as well! Congratulations to the Silsbee Lady Tigers for playing through what was undoubtedly the worst, most biased officiating I have EVER witnessed at a high school basketball game... and I've seen plenty!  Very proud of the girls for maintaining their composure and fighting through the adversity.  Such a shame to have this occur at a game that could potentially determine the third playoff spot in this district.  Congrats to the coaches too... I know it was difficult for Coach Sanders to keep focused and do what needed to be done considering the circumstances. WAY TO GO LADY TIGER TEAM!

Gotta go with the Lady Tigers....  Tuesday was a tough loss, but they are determined to stay in the playoff picture!

Pay attention to the win/loss records in this district... it's a tough one and the top four teams have traded wins and losses all season. Your negativity is NOT going to help the Lady Tigers in any way, so how about something positive instead of coach bashing?

Silsbee is

Vidor definitely played better in this tourney than they did against Silsbee at Silsbee. Silsbee came out flat and just couldn't seem to get in a rythm against them, Vidor showed some excellent blocking and hitting and definitely wanted the win. As for the district race, I think the Lady Tigers will absolutely be in the hunt and in my opinion have an excellent chance to take the title.
