My point exactly....they mean nothing. I was not suggesting that you not be able to express your opinion (PLEASE!) that is the whole point of a forum. And I was just expressing MY opinion. I anticipated a negative reaction.... so now that that's said and done... let's talk about something MORE INTERESTING - like - who's going to be the toughest competition for the Lady Tigers and Lady Bobcats in the playoffs? What's YOUR opinion?

What is the relevance of this post? If it's ego stroking.... I don't think any of these girls need that. They know they are talented, they know their strengths and they have sense enough to appreciate the talent and strengths of the other players they compete against. I just don't get it.......... praise who you want to praise, but not at the expense of other players (ie: "she's better than you, nah, nah, nah") Anyone who watches these girls compete knows that they all bring valuable talent to the court for their respective teams. And many of them will be an assett to a college team, in their respective roles. Who really cares who YOU think is the best player? If you asked a dozen different coaches which one of these players could help their team the most, you would probably get a dozen different answers, depending on what role they need to fill. Okay, off my soapbox now... just give them ALL the credit and praise they have earned!

It's been that way for YEARS AND YEARS.....who knows? It's great that the community supports their football program, despite their lack of success, but WHY don't more people get behind a WINNING program like their girl's basketball? A lot of people travelled to Austin with the Lady Raiders last year, but where are they during the regular season?

Hey that's weird... I'm in Lumberton and just as I read your post, I started hearing rain and looked outside... there's a little sleet mixed in.....

So you haven't seen the Lady Tigers play, huh? Well, you got the "press, press, press, score" part right... that is something Silsbee does oh so well... But for anyone who has seen BOTH teams play you know that there will be pressure defense from both sides and both teams have proven they can score. Too bad we have to wait until tomorrow night to see this game!

It's definitely going to be a good game... something like the Silsbee/WOS game or the Silsbee/Kville game..... but I STILL THINK the Lady Tigers will win!

I'm telling you, it's the acoustics in that gym... the HF fans don't sound nearly as loud in somebody else's place... the Hardin Jefferson gym has a terrible noise problem - it's not the sounds of fans cheering that's bothersome, it's just the WAY everything sounds in there!

Sounds a lot like the Silsbee Lady Tigers Friday night score against Jasper!!!(102)

The worst part about Hardin Jefferson's gym is the NOISE level. Even when the game isn't that exciting.... the acoustics are awful in there... it hurts your ears!

It would be an interesting topic - to see who's possibly going where - since there are so many talented girls in this area that are graduating in '07

What offers has she received so far? I haven't seen anything on this forum about her prospects. What about the other outstanding players.... what schools are looking at them... and are they considering.

Can someone post the district win/loss records for the teams in 21-3A? I know Silsbee is 6-0 but not sure about everyone else. Is OF 5-1? KVille 4-2? WOS 3-3? If you have this info and can post, please do.

Luck does not account for how the Lady Tigers got fired up and charged back to take control when they were down by ten. Luck didn't win this game for them. They played hard and the reward was the victory. Give credit where credit is due. The Lady Tiger's strength is in their numbers, as in number of contributing players who impact the game - starters and bench. That is where some of the other teams in the district are lacking and that is what brings the Lady Tigers through down the stretch. Congratulations Lady Tigers on a great game and important win. YOU earned it!

Upsets? The upset will be if Kirbyville beats Silsbee.... I'm rootin' for the Lady Tigers!
