Almost time for the fall season to kick off.

Orange Crush Adkins was very competive in the spring season. We are a few girls from winning a few more tournaments. Our head coach is current LCM head softball coach Dena Adkins. Figured I would mention that since everyone else does. Might draw a bigger crowd. Hope to see you @ tryouts. We do ours later than everyone else because we feel we have the best head coach around.

[color=orange][/color]Orange Crush Adkins is having open practices/tryouts on August 25th and Sept. 8th at LCM softball field at 4pm both days. We will be a first year 12u team in the fall. We are an established team and organization. We have talent from all over the Golden Triangle. Looking to add more. If you have any questions feel free to message or call Spencer Fuss 409-988-9555.

Almost all tournaments are on Saturday and Sunday. As for missing on Sunday, as a coach, would make it difficult for the team. They are relying on her being part of the team. It takes commitment. As for playing league and select, that is a preferance by individual coaches. Select is normally year round. You have your fall season and then spring. Each coach plays a different number of tournaments thru out the year.

If you and your daughter are considering going select, why dont you contact a few of the organizations to see about being a pick up player. This way yall can determine if this is something yall are interested in. Most girls that age have been playing travel ball for a few years. It is a lot of time and effort from a coach's perspective. Just an option.

LCM Softball Camp January 19th at Lady Bears Field. Skills Camp 1 pm-3pm. Pitching camp 4pm- 5:30 pm. Campers will recieve instruction from the 2013 Lady Bears and coaching staff. Camp will cover fundamentals of hitting,fielding, and base running. Pitching camp attendees will work with Raven Cole and Hope Russell on pitching fundamentals. Skills Camp ( $25 )  Pitching Camp ( $20 )                Authentic 2013 Lady Bear practice shirts $10 each. Preregister by emailing Coach Adkins at  [email protected]    specify which camps you would like to attend and shirt size if you want a tshirt.

Here is a run down of our team and what we would like to pick up. We won three tournaments this fall and placed second in one tournament. We did not play well in our other two tournaments. We have a few spots open but all positions are open. We look for girls that have no problem learning multi positions. We want girls that can play infield one game then go to the outfield the next game. We are working on building an organization not just a team.[color=orange][color=black][/color][/color]
