Best player or players off every team in SETX

I have been impressed by how quickly the Bob Hope School has developed athletically. The Hughen Center is doing a good job. Keep it up! -
Best player or players off every team in SETX

He's not even better than CJ Wooten from Woodville, much less the top dogs like McCain. Scale of 1-10, with a 10 being McCain and a 1 being the JV level.....he's a solid 6 and could make a case for 7. He's a good player with decent fundamentals and a good basketball IQ, but it takes more than that in a coverage area like ours. On another note......Julius Midkiff of Colmesneil (formerly of Woodville) is a very solid player for the Bulldogs. He at least deserves a mention. -
Johnson wins this conversation by a long shot. There is no debate. Hopefully he will be playing at The 40 Acres in a few years.

That's a head scratcher, but I'm sure he made what decision he felt was in his best interest. -

Ivan Lockhart also took an official visit and was offered at UMHB today! -
Woodville OT Seth Cashat committed to Midwestern State University today! Congratulations Seth! Also, Jr. OT Cade Bass received his first offer from East Carolina University a few days ago!

Okay, it's over now. He can go ahead and stop the recruitment process. He's found his home at the 40 acres. #Hook'EmHorns

Woodville should be a contender for the district title, although Central Heights always has a tough squad and will begin as the favorite. Woodville returns 8 starters and only lost 1 player who got significant playing time. That, along with expriencing the playoffs last season and the hiring of one of the better coaches in this area, should set them up for a very nice year.

Who are the top 2018 area players

Actually, I live in Woodville. Please...expand on what you mean. I'm intrigued to see what reason you have for insinuating negative things about a Junior in highschool. -

Cade Bass, Woodville - 1st/LHP -
You asked what I was referring to, so I answered in detail so there was no misunderstanding. If I'm going to debate on here, I'd rather it be over a legitimate topic, instead of petty comments, like most heated debates on here are. Yes, it was very off topic. You asked, so I answered, and now it doesn't have to go any further. So......I know there must be some other 2019 prospects out there. So far we have my three sons/students and the entire Central sophomore class. Lol

I'm not referring to either of those. Beaumont is the problem. This "wanna-be Houston" environment has turned Beaumont into one of the worst areas to raise a child in the state. It's not the coaches fault, nor is it the school district's fault. It's not even bad luck. All three Beaumont high schools suffer from it, but Central has taken the hardest hit over the last 20 years. If I'm not mistaken, in a study by Forbes Magazine, Beaumont was found to have one of the highest violent crime rates, per-capita, IN THE NATION. To add to that, they were also found to be the least-educated city in America. That's not a coincidence and it's not any particular person or group of people's faults. It's just a harsh and unfortunate reality in Beaumont.

I completely agree. Central has always had the athletes to compete. The problem has been keeping them on the field and getting them to buy into the head coach's system.
-
Then I assume they should win district if not this year, then the next, right? lol

No link. Just getting an idea of whose out there.

Woodville has 3. RB/S - Zackary Martin - 5'9" 180lbs - 1st team all district RB and S OG - Seth Fabela - 6' 1" 300lbs - 2nd team all district OG FB/LB - Marcos Broom - 5'9" 195lbs - 1st team all district LB Cameron White, a very good DB for Silsbee, just moved from Woodville this past year.
-
Look out for RB CJ Wooten of Woodville. The kid can flat out fly. 6-foot and sub-4.5 speed. Just needs to put on some muscle mass to get to that next level. Already receiving interest from Texas Southern.

Woodville well-represented this year!!

District 11-3A 2016-2017 Thoughts

White moved to Silsbee and either started or played alot with them over there. Broom and Fabela are monsters though. Both will be leaders next year. -
District 11-3A 2016-2017 Thoughts
eagleswoodville#1 replied to DeuceSixSuited's topic in High School Football
By Martin's senior year, he will be better than Lockhart was this year. He's a sophomore and rushed for 1,000+ this year, while splitting carries with Lockhart and several others. -

With no bias intended..... Woodville should still return as the clear favorite to win this district next year. -
Arp vs Newton Regional Final
eagleswoodville#1 replied to About a week ago's topic in High School Football
EF is a betree team than Arp. Newton "should" win by 2+ scores. -
How on Earth did they beat Troup 56-1?
