The upgrades are to the stadium, but as previously stated, other groups will benefit as well. I am guessing a new high school will include new gyms and facilities for locker rooms, etc.

I hope so, we need to get the parents with school -age kids involved.

Schools are on the bond. New High School and upgrades to the rest of the schools including security and technology. The stadium will be a separate proposition from the schools.

The Nederland ISD bond is set for May 4th. Stadium upgrades are included in this bond. (turf, press box, restrooms, etc.)

Well, the facilities are probably coming up for a bond this year, but I have never seen facilities win a game. Nederland beats teams with better facilities on a regular basis(Central, Ozen, United, Crosby , Barbers Hill, you get the point.) As far as pay, it is competitive and near the top for this area. Money doesn't just come from the sky.

So explain WOS and Newton. Where are the money and facilities there? That's a weak argument.

Its both. Coaches and players. There have been plenty of good coaches that don't have the kids to compete every year. And there have been teams that are plenty talented that haven't done anything much in district or the playoffs, including a few around here. If you take either one from the equation it fails.

I would consider Newton Southeast Texas. East Texas would be up to about Nacagdoches. Grandview, Aledo etc would be North Texas/Metroplex area. Liberty Hill , LaVega , Mart would be more Central Texas.

BISD schools don't have sponsors for a radio broadcast, Nederland and PNG do. Simple as that. Nothing is free.

Its in the Beaumont and Port Arthur papers, I heard them talking about it on 6 news. So what coverage do you want?

5A II Region 3 is a murders row. Huntsville, Manvel, A&M Consolidated,Marshall all still in along with the MC teams. Some of that will sort itself out but whoever gets out of this region will be battle-tested. And then they will probably have to face Aledo in the finals.

I noticed that Fernandez and Mayzec both played a little, although I think Mayzec might have hurt himself again.
