Hey Hill

I saw you next opponent last night. They are very up and down. You should have an easy one to finish out the week. Good Luck
Thanks...they tend to get "up" to play us.  But they are meeting a BH team that should be plenty p'd off at their last performance, so kinda feel sorry for 'em!
HillGuy, they should be up after 2 down performances....and us fans demand a game that is not a 1 point game.  Tough on the ticker.  ;D

    Barbers Hill      60
    Kingwood Park  59

    Heck of game!

    WOW!

Sounds like a good one.  Big win for BH.  Hope the Evans girl had a good game.   ;D
Evans was all over the court and both teams got after it.  Jasmine Carter got hot and hit some good shots and Evans, Silva and the defense got the stops when it counted.

This is posted on the front page of BHISD website.

    • Sports Offered:

    • Athletic State Championships:

    Football—1971 (co-champs), 1976

    Girls Basketball—1982, 1983, 1997

    Boys Track—1935, 1956

    • Additional football success:
(Barbers Hill was too small to compete for state championship)

    Bi-district champions:  1940, 1941

    Regional Champions:  1954, 1955, 1956, 1962, 1963

There seems to be quite a bit of missing information in some of the sports.   Football has more than 2 bi-district championships.  I am embarrassed for BH that the information on their site is wrong, they should be embarrassed as well.  And what does (football was too small to compete for a state championship) mean?
I think in the early 40's, bi-district was as far as we could go that is why it is listed.  I think one of those teams allowed less than 7 points the entire year.

As far as playoffs we have made it 33 times from what I was able to find on Texas football sight.  (Dayton has 25 appearances and Crosby 20)
    1940, 41, 43, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 62, 63, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 75, 76, 79, 80, 81, 87, 88, 89, 92, 99, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006
  4. if you have a few minutes away from trying to get 5000 posts on the PNG topic...

Our BH own, Matthew Viverette has been nominated for top 4A Offensive Player for the Houston Gridiron Award.  Please vote for him.  He has had a great season this year.
This link will allow you to vote for Matthew Viverette & others. The winners play in an all-star game.

    bh will always own dayton!

Until Price is gone the only thing BH will own is a brand new Sonic on Eagle Drive.

Okay...don't bring our new fine eating establishment into this discussion.

You beat me to it.  I would say" Jabo" is 1st or 2nd for sure.  Bob Steck would most likely be 1st or 2nd too.  For female hands down Pennee Hall.
I don't remember Pennee playing football  ;D  She was the most accomplished girls basketball player at BH but not the best all round if you take in all the sports.  Matthew's big sister Virginia and Jabo's sister Carvelynne were the best all round.

  7. BH girls did well also.  Larissa Rios 12:17, Jewell Watson 12:55, Abby McManus 12:59, Kierstan Santana 13:14, Sara White 13:19, Mary Mudd 13:42, MacKenzie Daniels 13:45, Tara Ramsey 13:52, Lorna Brewer 14:34  18th place team in 4A/5A division and I think 2nd in 4A to Kingwood Park.  417 girls in this division.
