This was a really good game.  Points of impress... Silsbee's offensive playbook is great.  They have the reverses...  They have the long go routs...  They have the hook routs...  They have slants...  and they have post and seam routs.  Most importantly, Silsbee has recurves that catch and big time playmates like Elam.  This  kid was beating all night.  Also,  props  to the Silsbee staff for going back to the same play to Spearman (the TD pass that he dropped earlier) for Paydirt later in the game.  Silsbee is really good for a 3a team. Livingston is good and wouldn't go away.  Collins was good and it showed.  This kid had great moments when Livingston went into a shot gun spread offense and C. Collins started showcasing that arm.  He's dead accurate.  This is what I wasn't expecting to see (obviously,  Silsbee wasn't either).  But, he eventually didn't loom so comfortable and threw some ints.  Moral of the story, Lions, passing isn't your identity.  Go with what works.  Silsbee Couldn't consistently stop the power running game and eventually, once Silsbee made pass defensive adjustments, the passing game was done.  Good game, nonetheless.  Worth the price of admission.  Shout out to Biaplayer as be was in attendance.  Big shout out to Mark Henry as he was in the house. Cool  moment - Silsbee's stadium is VERY nice! Uncool moment - Mark Henry was  being honored on the loud speaker close to the end of halftime and the Livingston. Players burst out of their tunnel.  Their fans  started screaming and the band started playing.  Even that annoying train horn started blowing... All this going on while the man was being honored.

In Silsbee, Lions, Tigers 'Bare' their teeth on the field...ohh my! Hosing the field didn't help LC-M at all as Coldspring ripped the Bears to shreds.

I think Central will hold their own on the defensive end.  Now, if only our offense can wake up and get their butts in gear and our recievers catch open passes, we'll be ok.  Just don't get into a cat and mouse playing game like vs. WO-S.  If you see you have a little momentum, put the foot on the neck.  I'd honestly would love to see Ozen put away early...

I know I'll be in Silsbee's Tiger Stadium tonight...  8)

I don't know.  It'll be a gametime decision.

Correction... It was Central that lost to Kingwood Park.  Also, I don't believe a single Central fan stated anything remotely close to making it to state.  I'll believe it when I see it.  Coaching is still suspect, IMO.  District title?  Heck yes we expect to compete for it or win it.

An just off the top of the head in 2010 WB was ranked as high as #5 in the state and was in the top 25 in the Nation while Central was #11 in the state and won 20-4A district title so theirs nothing wrong with them just a down year thats all. And as far as other sports Ozen girls and boys basketball program is the king around the area  an is a threat year in and year out to go state also their girls track program is one of the top in the state along with Centrals boys track program and WB baseball. I also heard that Beaumont was on the rise in population, did I hear wrong?? Im not sure but Beaumont is a hotbed as for talent along with the whole SETX just sometimes your not as competitive some years. [/quote]
