  1. Expect Ozen to drop next realignment...
  2. They turned in 4a numbers to the local media, which was unofficial... They're a. Extremely small 5a school...
  3. Rob. They turned in 5a numbers... Barely... They're a 5a school. They turned in 5a numbers to uil...
  4. Silsbee defends the pass a lot better now than when you last seen them a month ago...
  5. I think the local games are pretty good for the community. The kids sure look forward to it, which is the most important thing.. And humble has so many schools and the school in the lower classifications has so many district games that Atascocita probably can't put all of the Humble schools on the schedule. They probably would if they could..
  6. No, I didn't know your an got hurt, but I knew the starter was good. When I said that about your qb, it was a compliment. He's a gamer, and when he's on, the team is on. No knock on him... And you're right. Who has WB played? I say they're doing pretty good because overall, this team is young and this was supposed to be a 'down year's for them, and they just keep winning. Great young talent, good running game, but a young defense. Only time will tell how they will do once they hit the meat of their schedule... Which starts tomorrow and then with the game against y'all looming.
  7. Y'all offense only goes as far as your qb goes. He dictates that offense. And it's safe to assume he had a good game. But West Brook is a little more well rounded. It'll be hard to run on TW, but WB will have better success than Lufkin did, for whatever that's worth... And you can't judge teams off of performances against the potential cellar dweller team. College Park won't win a game this year...
  8. Yea, but Lufkin was still scoring like hotcakes. Looks like they passed the ball, still moved the ball with ease... West Brook has a kid that's thrown for about 70 completions and completed over 50% of his passes and have only thrown 1 interception. If The Woodlands has a weakness, then this is it. I think WB will score points... And WB has a better defense than Lufkin... Not saying that it'll be enough to stop TW's offense, but it'll be interesting...
  9. You'll get every opportunity in this game to win. Trust me...
  10. ...Bridge City is in their district. Silsbee was originally scheduled to play them...
  11. Yea, I was thinking that, but we're talking about stats for this year. And Thomas numbers aren't high this year. I was thinking about putting the Spikes or Brown kid from Newton...
  12. Honorable mention: Cayce Draper -Bridge City Theodrick Foster - Central Evan Nichols - Splendora Jeremiah Shaw - WO-S
  13. 1. Calvin 'Lil C' Tyler - Silsbee 2. Joel Denly - West Brook 3. Elijah Hines - PA Memorial 4. Haylon Leckelt - Vidor 5. Deshon Moreaux - Central
  14. Tyler is a Senior. Don't get his grade and his name mixed up. Jr. Is the suffix to his name, Calvin Tyler Jr.
  15. They're young. I believe 1 senior, 1 junior and 2 sophomores...
  16. Central historically has good defense, so even before Foreman got here, we usually deferred. You like to see your team's strengths in action first, I assume...
  17. I know... You'd think that they'll choose to receive since historically, Nederland has good offenses...
  18. Lol. Truth, Brother...
  19. I see what you're saying, but learning, representing the community with sports is always best done with your people. And before anyone takes this the wrong way, I'm talking about the people that you've grown up with from a small kid. Your people...
  20. It had nothing to do with athletics or athletics.
  21. But we knew Evadale was gonna be good even before the addition of Mackey.... I wouldn't put them on this list....
  22. Kronos is right. I know for a fact that parents are moving their kids to other isd's and the reason has been stated on many occasions. And I've stated that PAISD has many resources that other ISD's just don't have but many parents just don't know and don't care even though it's being given all the time (the information). And the athletics in PA is pretty good too. Football is a big deal there and the basketball is about to return to the days of Gamble/Boutee... The stigma is what makes parents want to move. And that stigman is wrong. I know many that thrive/thrived in PAISD... Why not go there? most work in PA anyway...
  23. I'm just stating facts. Not trying to argue either.. But the comment about numbers is pretty lame. The GCM example is a good one. And no mention was made of their numbers.
