[/quote]still in week 4....no report cards yet...no pass, no play has been in effect since mi-80's....here is my thought and i have seen it in our school....more and more kids in school do not particpate in any extra-curr. activites....for example our school band went from over 100 plus to less then 20....

i mean this in the nicest way but what happened to burkeville football? they have always had a strong program....have they went through coaching changes?  i personally have watched them play this year...and while i will never talked down on high school ath. , i will say that the burkeville team i watched was not conditioned and didnt play assignment football.....there was 27 official timeouts for burkeville injuries

my son plays varsity for deweyville....we have around 19 kids on varsity and 20 on JV....we only have a enrollment of around 212 kids in high school....the junior high has both a 7th and 8th grade team....deweyville is the smallest school in our 8-d2A....I only attribute our good turn out in football to our Junior Football League programs....there is always a great turnout from flag to seniors ever year....not sure why the bigger schools cant man frosh teams....i can remember when the 3 and 4 A teams in the area would have an A and B team for 9th grade, a soph team, a JV team and  varsty....

not a whole lot to say other then the big pass play for HD and a costly pick 6, Deweyville D owned the HD offense....waiting to see the numbers but not sure if HD have had more then 150 total offense minus the big pass play....couldnt unnderstand why HD didnt try and pass the ball a lil more....good luck in district to the Bobcats....

[/quote]i was there....if it wouldnt have been for a blown call (refs)when deweyville blocked a warren FG attempt....it wouldnt have ben as close as it was....after the refs blowed that call warren was giving a fresh set of downs....and scored....but again the deweyville defense forced a fumble with the O scoring with 30 secs left....saying that, not sure it was as close as people think....got a update from the HD-Deweyville JV game last night....26-0 deweyville....see you the game
