1. High Island wins in a very close game! (High Island 24 Burkeville 21)
2.
Looks like the team has rallied from #20 injury. It is a shame that he will be out and I hope his surgery went well (I believe that it was this week?). Cards we will see you in six weeks on the Battlefield!
Yes his surgery was successful, in fact so successful that I think he put about a mile on those crutches last night going up and down the sideline and his voice had to be completely gone. James is a fighter and he will definately rally back sooner than later. It was nice to see the Cardinals fight for every yard and play good football against Galveston Oconnell, they had some mental errors and some things to work on but at the end of the night a win is a win, and they start work again on Monday getting ready for a good West Hardin team.
3. But would still like to get a couple of the memorial shirts and help out in the little way that I can. I am in the Katy area and would really like to contribute by buying and wearing the shirt. Does anyone know how I can get a couple of them?
4. How can I get one? Can I pay some way and have it shipped? Is that possible? Will anyone from setxsports be at the High Island game tomorrow night and I can pick it up that way? Please let me know...
5. I bet this was an exciting game to watch!  ;) Probobly like watching paint dry.
6. The truth is Westbrook never had a chance. Its all good and fun to be a fan and root for your team but seriously.......Katy is a powerhouse. Its funny to read all these posts saying they got lucky and if the QB had not gotten shaken up it would have been different. The truth is it probobly would have been worse because Katy would have kept rolling through WB. Westbrook is a solid team and we all hope they do well the rest of the season, but when its all said and done Katy is in a class by themselves. I am not even a Katy fan either, just a football lover and supporter.
7.
something simple...everyone can do this...players, fans, everyone Hold 1 (your index) on left hand and 2 fingers (peace sign) on other. Maybe do this for every touchdown, no matter who scores.  At the beginning of game.   Spread the 12..sign...in tribute to an amazing athlete, human being who's legacy will be bigger than football.
I really think this is the best idea I have heard. It would be really cool if a lot of the area schools could get video of the teams performing this act. It would be a great tribute to Reggie Garrett but also to sportsmanship as a whole.
