  1. If you want to play at the next level they have to love the game, but you have to start getting ready early....documenting extra curricular involvement, training, etc...there is nothing wrong with thinking about the next level early. Mine wants to play on the next level. Grades are paramount but then we go to camps, he does volunteer work. I'm trying to teach him life skills as well but he wants to go to the next level and I will help him any way I can. He also knows he has to put in the work to get there.
  2. Great job Vidor white,  one question,  didn't yall beat that PNG team earlier in the year and then lost with one of your best players sick.  Saying a team they played was the best they have played is not disrespecting anyone,  was a statement of their opinion.... everyone get your feelings off your shoulders.. again great job
  3. There is something to be said for being able to pay a coach well enough to keep him.  You look at even the smallest schools that can keep ba good coach and establish a program from junior football all the way to high school.  A perfect example is WOS they have great involvement from humor all the way up and it shows.  So having money to keep a winning coach is key and getting your community behind your team helps a lot as well.  Big fancy stadiums are nice,  but they can't replace a steady program with  consistency and support.
  4. They had a lot of players with no class at all, especially #1. Several of their fans were very rude to the kids passing out towels before the gamed They did have a few players that I saw showing good sportsmanship and for those young men it is a shame that their last game had to be marked with fellow players and coaches that have no respect for themselves, their team, or the community they represent. ....hats of to Big Neds Defense....they are as tough as they come
  5. He is a fantastic kicker with a bright future, things happen and one miss is not devastating. My point was extra points and field goals are different as far as yardage, pressure, etc. and he could season his holder and kicker so that in the playoffs field goals are as second nature as extra points. Noel has the skill to do it, but all players need game time experience to bring them to a new level. Now off the soap box.....Hats off to them Dogs, great game. Loved watching those back ups get some playing time.
  6. I have been coaching in this league for 5 years and have never lined Yup the kids and verified their faces etc by the cards. We have always posted by honor if you choose to cheat at junior football you have bigger problems. I don't know the coach from Lumberton, but you can bet he is human and  may have forgotten something at the house. Remember we are not professional coaches and human errors occur....the kids were legal, the game was played, quit looking on the grassy  knoll looking for a conspiracy, because there isn't one...lets move on.
