  1. If you want to play at the next level they have to love the game, but you have to start getting ready early....documenting extra curricular involvement, training, etc...there is nothing wrong with thinking about the next level early. Mine wants to play on the next level. Grades are paramount but then we go to camps, he does volunteer work. I'm trying to teach him life skills as well but he wants to go to the next level and I will help him any way I can. He also knows he has to put in the work to get there.
  2. He had a strong leg and was looking forward to see the go hype at the  Dayton Nederland game. His kick off was good, but he missed a field goal that was within his range.
  3. Who was the kicker. ... didn't see one listed.  Saw punters,  but did they forget about that position?
  4. Some of your kids may be fast and agile,  some kids aren't.  Some have birth defects that limit the other sports but do not effect him on the line.  So I wasn't asking for your parenting advise only information, and no I don't live through him. My son loves football not baseball or  basketball.
  5. Does anyone know of a league around or close to her that has anything similar to select baseball where they play most of the year?
  6. Congrats to all the players . Good choice on defense mvp, Stamply was on almost every tackle and all over the field. Anyone know of he is going to move up to the next level.?
  7. Congrats, thanks for bringing our Kountze player.  He had a blast.  I'm glad the other kids got the experience.  For those taking away from that team for adding,  I watched them play and I don't think there is an 8 n under team that could beat them without adding players. I think they could give must 10 year old teams a run for their money.  Congrats on an awesome season.
  8. Great job Vidor white,  one question,  didn't yall beat that PNG team earlier in the year and then lost with one of your best players sick.  Saying a team they played was the best they have played is not disrespecting anyone,  was a statement of their opinion.... everyone get your feelings off your shoulders.. again great job
  9. There is something to be said for being able to pay a coach well enough to keep him.  You look at even the smallest schools that can keep ba good coach and establish a program from junior football all the way to high school.  A perfect example is WOS they have great involvement from humor all the way up and it shows.  So having money to keep a winning coach is key and getting your community behind your team helps a lot as well.  Big fancy stadiums are nice,  but they can't replace a steady program with  consistency and support.
  10. Not only is Stamply a Beast as a LB, he also deep snaps, fills in on O-Line, and has ran the ball.  talk about a versatile and talented young man
  11. He does an awesome job, but he seems to really excel when being chased and throwing off balance where there should be no hope of a completion, great job, keep it up, very impressed
  12. They had a lot of players with no class at all, especially #1. Several of their fans were very rude to the kids passing out towels before the gamed They did have a few players that I saw showing good sportsmanship and for those young men it is a shame that their last game had to be marked with fellow players and coaches that have no respect for themselves, their team, or the community they represent. ....hats of to Big Neds Defense....they are as tough as they come
  13. Does anyone know if channel 6 its going to show last nights game? Saw they were there, but didn't know if they filmed the whole game.
  14. He is a fantastic kicker with a bright future, things happen and one miss is not devastating. My point was extra points and field goals are different as far as yardage, pressure, etc. and he could season his holder and kicker so that in the playoffs field goals are as second nature as extra points. Noel has the skill to do it, but all players need game time experience to bring them to a new level. Now off the soap box.....Hats off to them Dogs, great game. Loved watching those back ups get some playing time.
  15. What is wrong with the Nederland coach....2 times they were within field goal range and well within Noels range. You end up with no points, good call....When you get in the playoffs and need a clutch field goal and they miss it because you never let your kicker and holder perform in a game situation, don't wonder why.
  16. I have been coaching in this league for 5 years and have never lined Yup the kids and verified their faces etc by the cards. We have always posted by honor if you choose to cheat at junior football you have bigger problems. I don't know the coach from Lumberton, but you can bet he is human and  may have forgotten something at the house. Remember we are not professional coaches and human errors occur....the kids were legal, the game was played, quit looking on the grassy  knoll looking for a conspiracy, because there isn't one...lets move on.
  17. The Kountze vs LC ought to be a good game. Think it will come down to who has the last possession. looking forward to watching the Lumberton Beaumont game. Hats off to the Beaumont team watched them play Saturday, good team.
  18. Small school 1  WOS 2  LCM tied for 3 and 4 are BC-W, OF,and Kountze BC beat Kountze Kountze beat OF OF beat BC Tie on head to head so points allowed in conference ours BC-W as and Kountze as 4....unless my math its wrong
  19. Hats off to LCM JRs #31, he's a beast.
  20. When y'all are done gripping about who stacked which team and so on, can someone get an update on the injured player?  I just got back from having mine checked at the ER and a kid had just left, but I couldn't get a status...HEPA rules...praying they are all ok,
  21. Anyone know the score from BC-R vs OF
