Watching SOC on YouTube.  The RB #21 Green is quick and elusive.  Yikes.  Not the biggest guy, but he can take a pop and bounce off tacklers.  PN-G has seen some good RBs this season, but I don't think the Indians have seen anyone with his combination of quickness, vision, and the ability to slip away from tacklers.  The SOC QB #18 reminds me of PN-G's #9...cool under pressure and making the right reads and throws.  #18 can sling it.  SOC defense is fast at all three levels, but I think PN-G's OL will be able to create some running lanes.  The game will come down to PN-G stopping the run and PN-G winning some one-on-one battles in the passing game when SOC loads the box.  Stopping the run is easier said than done.  SOC has some DUDES on the OL and #21 zips right through their lanes.  They are playing well.  Glad PN-G has a shot to play the last 5A-DII game of the year and taking a shot at the defending champs.  We've got a shot...what more can you ask for?  Should be a good game.  Tip of the cap to SOC coaching staff...they lost 11 scholarship kids from last season and they are back at the top, in the state championship.  Impressive.

P.S.  One more thing.  No turnovers this year.  The Indians need to hold on to the ball.  No safeties this year.

Pick 6 and safeties the difference in the game

If you think they mirror each other in what they do. Look at both teams stats. You should see they season stat lines. They are almost exactly identical.

    PNG Indians

    Passing 1850 yards 25 TDs 3 INT

    Rushing 3813 yards 43 TDs

    Total  YPG 377

    5663 yards for season.

    SOC

    Passing 2220 31 TDs 6 INT

    Rushing 3383 46 TDs

    Season YPG 373

    5603 yards for the season.

    Dang! Defense stats?

This lie is still spreading. It’s an astonishing sequence: (1) PNG fans want to see the game; (2) LH selects a small stadium; (3) Both sides have the same opportunity to buy tickets; (4) PNG fans buy available tickets because they want to watch the game; (5) LH fans don’t buy enough tickets; (6) PNG fans are still desperately trying to locate tickets because there aren’t nearly enough; (7) LH fans claim PnG fans are trying to limit THEM from going to the game.

The ability to simultaneously be the cause of their own problems AND to be so especially aggrieved by PNg’s reasonable actions taken in response is incredible. If PNG had its way, every single fan from both sides would attend. Someone might say, “Well, you should have won the coin toss.” Why is it that when we win the coin toss, we make sure MORE fans from the other side can come, but when we lose it the other team tries to leave our fans out?  And, given that truth, how are we the bad guys?

I don't see on their X. Did they take it down?

I don't know of anyone from LH that walked out of the stadium last year believing the outcome would have been significantly different if Noah Long and Joe Pitchford weren't injured. PNG out played us, out coached us and the fans out spirited us.   Hell, even the band was better.

LH has already overachieved many fan's expectations this year.  Our offensive production is down this year and our pass defense is actually worse than last year.  What this team lacks in size, elusive speed and elite talent, we make up for in heart and relentless tenacity (at times).  Many LH fans want to move away from the Slot-T but I believe this scheme is the primary reason why we consistently make deep runs into the playoffs.

Keep an eye on the 165lb Noseguard (#44) because he is fun to watch.  That kid has a motor like no other and MAY get home a couple times if the O-line gets caught sleepin'.

Good luck PNG fans!  I hope the game is competitive, injury free and everyone leaves it all out there on the field.  Regardless of the outcome, I'll be in Arlington next week watching a full day of football with my son who will hopefully be playing in this game next year!

I think Noah would have made a difference for sure. The Kid can play. That is why this year I believe it is going to be tougher to stop you guys. I do believe we will move the ball on ya'll but Those two running backs for ya'll make yards on their own a lot. I for one am not looking past you guys. Ya'll remind me a lot of PNG. We haven't always had the size we have this year, but play with extreme heart. And we have surprized many a team that was bigger. Good luck and I hope it is a clean injury-free game

I don’t think it will be a blowout like Leander. LH isn’t going to be caught by surprise like last year. They know who we are now. And, I think they have made some adjustments on offense that make them a little more versatile. I wish PNG ran some of their run plays along with our passing game - We’d be that much harder to stop. So I think LH will move the ball on us, but I don’t think they’ll be able to do it as consistently as they need to. I’m thinking they score between 21-28 points. If we overperform we hold them to 7-14. The biggest problem will be that PNG will move the ball more consistently than them because I think we’ll have a fairly reliable 4-5 yards before contact on a lot of our run plays. It looks like LH has a pretty competent secondary, and they’re hunting interceptions. PNG won’t make the mistake Pieper made and throw it around a bunch. We’ll dare you to stop the run, but where we see opportunities, we have a capable passing game. Huntsville let us get them into single-man coverage with the safety up in the box once and it led to a 55-yard touchdown pass. It’s going to be a tough, good game. I predict something closer than last year, maybe in the 35/28-14/21 range. I’m having trouble gauging how good LH’s defense is, but I don’t see them as being as big or as physical as Huntsville’s defense. So, I don’t think LH will keep us from scoring at least 28, and I’d be comfortable betting we score at least 30. Can LH find 31 points? We’ll see. Good luck to ya’ll, in any case.

I'm with you. The top two running backs are healthy and tough to bring down. Noah Long can and probably will hurt us. I think we will have to get used to the slot T early on but eventually will. Discipline is key on D. It'll be the toughest running game we've faced I believe. I wasn't impressed with Pieper QB as far as his throwing. I think he was hurt in that game. So was the primary receiver because he had a cast on his hand. The kid still produced good catches though. Bailey could have a good night if they are able to slow down the run.

Love watching the Indians and hope they make it to state again and win it this year. They are playing well

My only take after watching the 2nd half vs Huntsville is that the offensive lineman did not block very well , so the running game was poor that half well that half.  They will have a size advantage vs LH, however they are going to have to block much better to get the running game going.

I did not see the 1st half, maybe they blocked better in that half

Yeah, the second half was not good for the linemen. The Huntsville D line had something to do with that for sure. Big guys.

Most think it will definitely be tuff to win this week . But they always believe they will win . This yr we will have the 2 starting  rbs that got knocked out last year in the game before we played PNG . Will they be enough to change the out come from last year ?  I'm not sure . But LH has surprised teams before .

Noah Long is a force to stop. With him healthy it is going to be a tough task for us. Did he play against Rouse?

Howdy from Liberty Hill !  Come over to talk to you fine people from the East of our great state of Texas .  Enjoyed the talks last yr . Reading on here this year looks like y'all done kicked the scat out of us before the young men have evern taken the field . I understand what LH is up against but the boys like to play football and win or lose that doesn't change from year to year .  It's been a tuff yr for the Panthers injury wise but they got some players back just in time to run the table over here in region 4 .   Yeah the defense is had to grow up a lot this yr . They getting better but having said that it's going to be a tuff row to hoe this week .  But here's to a gd game for both teams with no injuries . For sure the winner of this game it's going to need all hands on deck for the big game and for sure I'll be pulling for the winner either way our game turns out .     Sorry for the long post , I'll try to keep future post shorter .... LHFan80

Is there a message board that the Liberty Hill fans go to

Some may have us looking beyond but it's one game at a time and the coaches know that. Watched the Pieper game and #21 is gonna be hard to stop. Slot T is always troublesome

The days of having 30k fans at a state semi-final are over...gen z unless they have a friend or family member playing could care less about going to watch high school football...that and the advent of live streaming services has taken many fans from the seats and placed them at home

Very much this. Watching it live on TV is a game changer. It affects both side though to. LH people will stay home and watch to not have to drive. We'll still bring enough to create havoc
