1. BH played GP at GP.  BH has a good history at GP, that's a good venue for both schools.
2.
Well looky there! I received a negative karma for that one. Thanks! I see the prodding can only come from one side. Niiiccce!
UgotTRUCKED, You can give me that one negative carma, I collect them...... ;D ;D ;D  Matter of fact, I gave you a positive to not upset the balance of power.... ;D
3. I have a suggestion for the Moderators to make this board more user friendly If someone post something that is innappropriate, delete it and send them a private message explaining why.  I have watched and even been involved with a number of public forum exhanges this year that have no place in open forum.  I experienced it when I questioned how the SETXSPORTS ranking votes were geographically obtained, PNG fan got it when he developed an open fan ranking system using WOSGRAD's format, and RANGER83 is getting it now in the GCM vs. KP thread.  This adds no value to this site and takes away from the fun and interaction that makes it so successful. My two pennies, a moderator calling a user's mouth a "pie hole" and threatning him in open forum is a bit out of line.
4. Got to love the playoffs. ;D ;D  A game not set in stone, two weeks away (if ever), and fans dropping game game 1 stats, game 2 stats, scrimmage stats, meaningless district comparisons, 20-years ago stats, new coach praise, old coach bashing (this one is ok), quotes from past coaches, etc....etc...etc.  We have even progressed to district opponents jumping in and bashing the team we may not play.  I figure by week 0, assuming we even play, we'll make it full circle and the "your mama" and my uncle from the 1976 team shots will take over.  I just love it..........passionate radical fans. ;D ;D
5. WOW, I thought I was bad...... ;D BH has to play good defense and not turn the ball over to win.  Remember, we already give PNG 14-21 for lack of quality coaching.
6. Congrats PNG on a great season so far.  Looks like you may draw BH in a few weeks.  Hope we both have a good injury free game.
7.
yea bh is going to the playoff's Ce king got swept by dayton and bh swept NF so bh goes to playoff and plays PNG i believe in 2 weeks
I hope it is on a neutral field.
8. National Stats: Bh 13 in total offense BH QB 17th in passing yards BH QB 18th in rushing yards BH Defense 7th in interceptions BH O-Line 7th in size Need I say more......?????? Head Coach, well just ask him......... ;)  Suckers.
9. State Rankings All Classifications, According to Chron.com Total offense yards - BH ranked 10th in the state Total Passing yards - BH ranked 7th in the state Mathew V Passing Yards - Matt ranked 15th in state I'll put all our athletes on notice that they are not as good as other school athletes.  I suspect our defense would be better too if we chose to play athletes both ways when possible.  Other than Bradford, that's about the only player who goes both ways. Of course most of the time he is on the sidelines.  Not sure, but I think both those are coaching decisions.  ??? ???
10. Well seems everyone is passionate about their views, which is a good thing.  If we did'nt care what would the program be?  I agree with who said, a team should be worried if they face BH.  Minus turnovers it could be a different standing in district 19-4A.  Soon after this season maybe the passion will cary over and change happens.  Anyone know any great O-Coordinators or head coaches that might be a good draw for BH  I don't think it would be any suprise for Price, he did after all apply for the Lake Travis job last year. By the way, Lake Travis and PNG have first year coaches and both are undefeated.
11.

So guys .. are we going to the playoffs or not ... I think after this year price needs to hang the coat up
I don't understand you so called Barbers Hill fans! All y'all do is blame Price. answer me this: Have you ever had a coach with a better winning record? How many times has he taken you to the playoffs? Is he still getting the job done? I hate to say it BH parents and fans, but y'all are out matched every year.  If you took the whole district position by position, and matched them up athletically...........you might win one o line position! You are out muscled, out sized, and you don't have speed...this is every year....so how do you win??? TALENT and talent is COACHED.....If anything you should be thanking Price for winning so much despite these odds....maybe a raise or hug or kiss or something!!!!!........Maybe a little appreciation!!!!........that might work!!!!!
Maybe you should crawl back in the hole you came out of, because you know nothing about BH football.  I didn't make the quoted post, however he or she is absolutely right. We routinely lose to teams with less talent, every year.  It's happen 4 if not 5 times this year alone.  There is more to coaching than XX's and OO's, most of which is leadership and setting an example.  Something we have been lacking for years now.
12.
Diggs is the real deal!
Yes he is and that team is on another level as compared to 20 or 19 4A
13. Crosby claims turnovers, district championship By Dave Rogers The Baytown Sun Published October 24, 2009 MONT BELVIEU – When Barbers Hill’s defense and maybe some bad karma kept Crosby’s offense from firing on all cylinders, the Cougar defense had a tip. Two actually. Twice Cougar defenders intercepted passes that were tipped by Barbers Hill receivers. M.J. Mathis returned one for a 56-yard first-half touchdown and that proved to be the difference in Crosby’s 21-16 win. The win gives the Cougars at least a share of the District 19-4A championship. They are 6-0 in district and 6-2 overall and finish league play next week at home against 1-7 Galena Park. Dayton, 5-1 in district, is the only team with a chance to catch Crosby. Barbers Hill, 4-5 overall, dropped into a fourth-place tie with C.E. King at 3-3 but only needs to win its final league game against 0-8 North Forest next week to make the playoffs as it holds the head-to-head tiebreaker edge over C.E. King. A tipped interception by cornerback Cameron Trench with a little more than a minute to go stopped Barbers Hill’s last chance at the Cougar 15-yard line and preserved the win. It was the second interception by Crosby in the game’s final three minutes. “It was ugly, but it’s a win and we won’t give it back,” Crosby coach Kevin Flanigan said after the game, in which Barbers Hill outgained the Cougars 454 yards to 300. “Those guys (the Eagles) played well. I think our guys played hard, but I don’t think we executed well. I think those guys (the Eagles) are sick over there (in their locker room), because they outplayed us.” Four interceptions and five total BH turnovers made the difference. “It was just mistakes,” Eagles coach Don Price said. “If we could learn to play without them. I know they’re not trying to make them.” Crosby led 14-9 at halftime and scored on its first second-half possession with Ja’Kacy Evans going two yards for his second touchdown of the night and a 21-9 Cougar lead. Evans led Crosby rushers with 127 yards on 25 carries and quarterback Dominic Merka rushed for 88 yards and passed for 74 more. Barbers Hill made it a one-score game late in the fourth quarter when Matthew Viverette hit a streaking Carter Smith for a 54-yard score with 4:42 remaining. Viverette passed for 240 yards on 22-of-38 accuracy, but suffered the four interceptions. rushed 22 times for 131 yards, to finish with 371 total yards. Logan Stubbs added 92 BH yards and a touchdown on 17 carries. Smith caught nine passes for 130 yards. Barbers Hill ran twice as many plays as Crosby (40-20) in the first half, but trailed after two big misses and one large turnover. A Viverette screen pass tipped by the receiver right to Crosby defender M.J. Mathis and Mathis’ 56-yard sprint gave the Cougars their 14-9 lead with 5:29 left in the first quarter. Before that, the Eagles opened the game with an eight-play, 75-yard march with the opening kickoff to a five-yard Stubbs TD run. Stubbs, carried 11 times for 66 yards in the first half. Viverette rushed 15 times for 97 yards and passed for 88 more in the first half on 8-of-14 accuracy, with the one costly interception. Crosby appeared headed to a 7-7 tie when its quarterback, Merka, ripped off a 28-yard gain on the first Cougar play. But after the Cougars reached the BH 34, Eagle defenders stood up ballcarrier Evans and DB Stuart Hamlin succeeded in ripping the ball away from him. In turn, the Eagles marched from their 28 to the Cougar 4-yard line before Crosby’s blitzing Marchael Bryant batted away Viverette’s third-down pass. BH settled for Chris Frazier’s 22-yard field goal and a 9-0 lead. Crosby’s next drive started with a 28-yards kickoff return by Cameron Trench. Evans carried five times for 39 yards on the drive, including a seven-yard score to cut the Eagle lead to 9-7 with 9 seconds left in the first quarter. After Mathis’ “pick six” put Crosby ahead 14-9, the Eagles moved 60 yards in 11 plays to a fourth-and-2 at the Cougar 7. They lined up to go for it, but an illegal procedure call led Price to send out his field goal unit. Bryant blocked Frazier’s 29-yard attempt with 43 seconds left in the half. “We just can’t fumble the ball and you can’t have penalties on fourth-and-2,” Price said. “You sure can’t give up a turnover for a touchdown. “The game is real simple if you can figure that out.”
14. BH QB, Mathew Viverett with 379 yards offense against Crosby in a loss.  245 passing and 103 rushing by himself. Turnovers for him was mostly tip balls, but I can see someone else eliminating him for that.  Folks, he has done it in almost every game too.  Incredible individual statistics for a 5 loss team.

16. Absolutely no doubt PNG has greatly improved.  Does not matter much who we get, with 11 or so starters out and an already young team, we got our work cut out for us.  I just like the PNG match-up and the fans form PNG are always fun to watch a game with.  Nice big crowds, a learning value to our young players. Trust me, BH has envy for PNG being able and go out and seek a high quality coach like they did.
17. Congrats Crosby.  Heck of a game.  Let's shake off that turnover bug and move on BH.  My heart won't take another 5 or 6 turnovers a game.
18. I am ready for this regular season to be over, for sure.  With as many as 11 starters out to injury and the turnover problems we have had this year, we're gonna have to step up this playoff season big time.May sound crazy, but I am glad we will likely play PNG.  I think we match up best with them.  Running teams are giving us a fit this year.
19. Tell me again what this thread was about??????  Headed to the game to see Crosby get beat.  Hope GCM is not playing at home tonight, the street crews have to change all the signs around Stalworth to spanish and traffic really sucks.  Could be late for BH's first TD if that's the case.  Good luck to Ranger83 and his son tonight.  Almost time to start rooting for each other in the playoffs.
20.
This is for the Old School Eagles, did anyone ever see Dennis "Jabo" Leonard play? Having had the chance to work with Jabo and talking football with him, that man must have been a BEAST!
You beat me to it.  I would say" Jabo" is 1st or 2nd for sure.  Bob Steck would most likely be 1st or 2nd too.  For female hands down Pennee Hall.

22.

As far as playoff teams and their size goes, PNG would go into the playoffs as a D2 small school. central and Vidor have a larger enrollment than PNG. As of right now in 20-4A your looking at PNG D2, Central and Vidor D1, the 4th spot is still not decided. PNG would have to win 1 more game to go in as #1 seed small school for the playoffs.
PN-G will win one more game Friday night. 1st round will more than likely be... Central vs Memorial Vidor vs Crosby PN-G vs Barbers Hill Ozen vs Dayton My first choice would be Ozen, but I have to say the next would be PNG.  I think we match up to them very well.  I know they have gone on a terror this year and won games I never thought they would, but at least we know what they bring and won't have any excuses. As for why we lead so many stats every year and end up 2nd, 3rd, or out all together, it's the 14-21 point disadvantage our boys have to over come that is Coach Price.
23. Crosby's defense has come a long way since they played PNG and they are far better on defense than Dayton is. I REALLY hope BH pulls this one out, but we have always terrible time adjusting to an aggressive defense. Crosby is going to be tough to throw to the outside, however we could have success if we play the same game we played against Dayton in the last 20 minutes. P.S. Either put Bradford running or on D-Line.......he is too good to be watching the game form the sideline. BH 21 Crosby 17
24. You ain't right. You have no idea how right that statement is........ ;D ;D ;D Tell me you did not sit there last night and ask, "what is BH thinking"..... ;D Such as, QB punting ball on 4th down through the endzone or taking a shotgun snap and running a QB draw when you need 2 inches on 4th down. Just to name a couple.
25. I was confused about the ref comments, but I now see what is being discussed. I got to tell you, from where I was sitting it appeared the ball hit the ground about 1-2 feet outside the endzone and then bounced through the endzone just inside the orange cone and then out of bounds. It all happened very fast, but a friend (Jasper fan) saw the same thing I did. Not that any of that matters now, but had that been the call we could have been going for a two-point conversion for the tie instead of kicking an onside kick. Thanks for all the well wishes against Crosby. If we control the turnovers and Price gets the flu, we will win big.
