1.
Now that I got Spectator45's attention, will you come mow my grass?  You obviously know little about BH football, so try grass cutting.  Everybody has to admit when they just need to pick up the yard rake and start sweeping.  Here we call it, hiring Gage.  ;D ;D ;D BH 30+ King 7
You've always had my attention, just never really cared to respond to your humorous comments.  Hey, arent you the short red haired guy, that got his feeling hurt a while back when you brought in some film from a school out in East Texas running the wing T or something, only to have your hopes and dreams get shot down by the BH staff.  Must of hurt pretty bad huh.  Well oh well, I hope that wasnt you.  Dont question me on my BH knowledge, buddy, just because you go to all the games and watch doesnt mean a thing.  I put in the blood and sweat for the program.  I know a little.

Give me an AMEN!
Cha-Ching....guess dem fellars over at da hill, were rite after all. Just sayin ! AMEN !!!!!!
Coach Price was aloof from the players and inaccessible to the parents. He coached a game from 30yds down the sideline from the players. I think he was burned out the last couple of years he was here and was just giong through the motions. His teams won because for the most part he had good coaches working for him and the dedication of the kids to work hard. Coach Gage brought in a new crop of young coaches with a lot of enthusiasm. Coach Bruce Taylor stayed with BH and no one has more enthusiasm than him. Coach Gage did the right thing by retaining Bruce. Gage  is not only a motivator but a very good technician of the game. Play calling, execution of the clock, etc. He is the real deal. He is also very friendly and accessible to the parents. BH is blessed with a great senior class of players this year also. There may be some drop off next year but coach Gage will find a way to win. He is building the program from the bottom up. He also plays the 2nd string when we have a comfortable lead which gives those boys experience and keeps everyone happy. Price never did that. He would play the starters until the last play even when winning by a huge margin. Our quarterback, Chris Daniels, tore his ACL late in the 4th quarter one year and lost a full ride scholarship to rice. We had a big lead in that game when it happened. We are lucky to have Coach Gage and all he brings to the team and school district.
Beg to differ, back ups got alot of clean up time, with that old staffs, if you dont believe me, I can give you film of it, there is nothing wrong with keeping your starters in to continue to get work.  If youre throwing 5o yard bombs when your up by 40, them you should question your motives.  It stunk what happened to Chris, we lost a kid with a broken foot because he got out of his truck one day, things happen.  BH isnt the only  school that keeps starts in, and they wont be the last.  And Gage again is doing a great Job, but to say he is building a program from the ground up is an insult to the Coaches that were there and left, and to the ones that were there and are still there.  BH has been a great program for a while now, not just the two years, so its not like Coach Gage had to come in and start from scratch.  Being apart of other ms programs and seeing what some high schools produce into college.  BH has always worked the MS levels hard, and it shows off when they beat teams that are bigger and faster.  Thats been happening since the 90's my friend.

I think He and the Coaching Staff did a pretty good Job at turning the football program around.  Stop harping on the Past because you have a personal vandetta against the man.  The Hill is know around the Area for excelling in all sports and that man had a hand it alot of it.  So root for the Hill and its new success, and keep the mans name out your mouth.  Its a new era at BH, and we true Eagle Fans will thank DP for what he did for the programs, wish him the Best.  To Coach Gage, he is doing a great job.
4. As much as some of you Hill people are complaining about Dayton people getting on BH treads, I just say a Hill poster on a Hamshire vs. Silsbee tread taking a shot at Price.
5. You know, when a team wins a championship, wether it be High School, College, or the Pros, everyone on the team, even if it is the fourth string backup punter, gets a ring, even the trainers get a little something.  If you work in the Athletic department for a university and your team wins a championship, you get something.  I have played with Southlake Carroll boys with three rings, and Celina boys with two.  We won one together in college, that didnt make them any better than than me.  So your "how many rings" comment doesnt hold any weight on this subject.  Ask yourself, what have [you won lately?
6. Well that way of thinking is why people tend to dislike BH they way they do.
7. Couldnt you pretty much say that about every poster on this site?  Most are older individuals who spend a good amount of time on here reading and posting.  What makes you so much different from them?  Is it just the assumption that they live in trailers and wear overalls because they are from Dayton.  I went to BH and lived in a trailer, does that make me dumb and uneducated?
8. When did the Hill players start getting on message boards so much.  The more I come back home, the more the town and school changes, and it just seems the traditions are being lost and forgotten.  But I guess thats what happens when you have a sudden burst in growth.
9. This will get the BHer's focus off all the BH Bashing, my choice goes towards Philip Davis, He was a Freak of Nature in my opinion.
10. I agree, BH has the same situation. When was the last time they had a complimentary runningback to go with their running QB?
11. Coaching Requirements 4-year Degree from an accredited University-$30,000 + Apply for an Alternative Certification-$270 Pass the PPR, and a Subject level Test-$120 per test Get Approved There you go, next thing to do is get on the sideline, grab a whistle if you prefer, and so them how it really should be done.
12. Don't think I used the word "EVERY" in my statement, but go ahead, feel free to insert whatever words that will help you sleep at night. My statement was just in general, alot of schools have those kids, some schools dont. I played at the Hill, and I know of a few that could care less if we won or loss. I have noticed that you son plays for GCM and in no way was I directing that statement towards him or his team, It was a broad statement of the direction sports are going for alot of young athletes.
13. Sorry Ranger83, didn't know you knew how kids felt. I guess you've never heard of "going through the motions", but trust me, there are tons of kids who show up too two-a-days, and the entire year, and yes, I know they want to win, but when things go bad, and they feel they are going to lose you can tell. And when I say "care about winning" I am talking about not being able to lose the game and laugh and joke about it on the bus ride home. It happens everyone, the times are changing, kids just flat out don't care as much.
14. Its not only about playing with each other from an early age, you also have to get a group of kids who actually care about winning.
