1. Bands that play....when their team is on OFFENSE.
 2. I think Stump did well considering the circumstances....Katy's D line is beastly and that was the first game the secondary was actually "Challanged". From previous meetings.....I expected West Brook's Dline to give Katy trouble....Katy hasnt had a 100 yard rusher against WB in any of the previous meetings....then Katy was without 6'2 215lb. Adam Taylor...So I figured it would be more of the same, especially with a converted FB starting at TB and rotating him with a FRESHMAN......both back it 100 yards before the half, with West Brook loading the box.....I think if Taylor played he would have taken it to the house every time he touched it. Stump wasn't "Horrible"...Katy will give you the underneath stuff all day and wait for you to make a mistake...you have to be perfect and that's tough to do a full game. Looking forward to see how the Bruins bounce back.

 4.
SFA, my guess is that Katy used the off-week to prepare for district, I doubt that they would put two weeks into a game plan against West Brook....
And to heal up.....despite the scores, the first two games were really physical. Also the offense was very Vanilla in those games....look for them to open it up a little bit more.
 5.

I hate to say it, but Katy 56 WB 14. Maybe I'll be wrong!
I dont think they'll score THAT many.....at lease they never have in the past. Once they get a 3 or 4 TD lead, they tend to pull the starters and coast with the back-ups in.
Agree with this. if it's not close at the half, Katy will play the starters the first series of the 3rd and that's it. Not only does it give the other guys game time experience, but when you plan to go 16 games every year you don't risk injuries.
 6. For those not making the trip to West Houston...the game will be online: [Hidden Content] THE GAME IS ALSO THE SETXSPORTS.COM BISD GAME OF THE WEEK AND WILL BE BROADCAST HERE ON THE SITE!!!
 7. Bigger question is...will ANY Ike fans show up? I would love to see a pic of the visitors side.
 8.

All I ask from you real Memorial fans is to prove the points  I made wrong. Go ask a North Shore coach, fan or player if they are worried about you. Please ask a Katy fan or Pearland fan if they are worried about you. I will just enjoy you self exploding once again. You cannot say we will beat North Shore or anyone else that is relevant without choking. Craig Stump is your father and David Aymond wants a DNA test because he thinks he might be the father also. They might as well put a WB logo on the field and retire Bruce Reyes jersey in Port Arthur. Sgt Rey please explain owned to the Titans.
Why would a Katy fan or a Pearland fan be worried about PAM? Katy, Pearland, North Shore and West Brook will be in the Division I bracket, PAM will be in the Division II bracket. PAM could lose to NS and WB and still advance farther in the playoffs. Personally, I think PAM wins district and advances to at least Regional finals.
If Seven Lakes keeps winning....Katy will be in D2.
 9. Spread isnt for everyone...when you have the size that NS has on the line...USE it.....line up and run behind those hogs.
 10. they rotated QB's every play....same way RR Stony Point did(Same OC).....Thomas is actually the bigger run threat. They should be OK, and I expect them to bounce back. North Shore's offense is designed to take advantage of defensive agression and over pursuit.......Katy's defense is about as disciplined as you can get....I expect NS to look better vs Ike this week.
 11. Game is online for those that want to see it: [Hidden Content]
 12. I've found Katy's @Katyfootball, Odessa Permian,@PermianFootball, Texas HS Football @[email protected] other area teams have Twitter pages? Works perfect during the season to get scores and updates
 13. The Bruins Defense has gave our running game fits the past two games....
 14. What is expected of the Bruins this season? I know Stump is back at QB. Will they be contenders, or will this be a "down" year? I'm a Katy guy and looking forward to the Bruins coming to Rhodes.
 15.

Does anyone know Houston Memorial's district standing?  Noticed they have 5 losses so was wondering how they placed in their district. Going to the semi-finals with 5 losses is an impressive feat.  (also several 10-3 teams still playing).
4-3 according to Chron.com.  Loses to Katy, Cinco Ranch, and Katy Taylor
Other two losses were to Pearland(49-42) and Westfield. The loss to Katy Taylor was crazy...I think they had like 6 turnovers and lost by 3.
 16. It's the Natural Grass at Reliant, that's the reason why more games arent played there. I wish Roberson Stadium was used more, makes for a great atmosphere. In 2008 when the State title games where at Reliant, the field was HORRIBLE after the first game. I agree....the dome is sitting there rotting........could have some quadruple headers there this weekend.
 17.
Dont look past Dobie just because they are a Pasadena school. They are a solid team. Here is a list of their wins and losses as of last week. Alief Taylor(8-1)    L    43-13 Alvin (1-8)            W   32-10 Dickinson (4-5)      L    24-21 Humble                 W   14-10 Channelview(1-8)   W   19-17 Pasadena(3-6)       W   50-3 Pas. Memorial(5-4)  W   31-7 Pas. Rayburn(4-5)   W   48-7 South Houston(5-4) W   35-14 Deer Park(7-2)        W   34-13 This team is no pushover. If we're not careful, we could spend the rest of the playoffs in the Losers Lounge.
Correct....The Longhorns are a decent team....the only game they were out matched in was the first game against Alief Taylor, who is a REALLY good team and one of my favorites to take the Region III title in D2. They were pretty banged up against Dickinson and still almost won that game, Dickinson scored late to take the win...since then they've been on a roll....they win on the road against Humble was impressive, Humble would be a decent 5A team. They have 3 guys that can run the ball...another impressive win was @ Deer Park where they ran them out of the building...had over 500 yards of offense and only like 2 completions on 4 pass attempts. The key for West Brook will be Defense.....Don't let Dobie hang on to the ball and use up the clock. QB Blake Jackson reminds me of Gibson from North Shore....you have to respect his arm and his running ability. I don't think it will be a high scoring game...Dobie will run the ball 50 times easily. 24-17 or 28-24 West Brook
 18.
If the playoffs were to start today, this is what R3 D2 would look like..... Region 3 Cy Ridge vs. Aldine Eisenhower Katy vs. Houston Westbury PA Memorial vs. South Houston FB Elkins vs. Clear Creek Cy Woods vs. Alief Taylor Houston Memorial vs. Houston Madison La Porte vs. Pasadena Memorial FB Bush vs. Dickinson
Not a cake walk for Katy IMO PA Memorial, Elkins has the athletes to give Katy problems Cy-Woods and Clear Creek has the offense And Alief Taylor is the real deal.......beat the crap out of Katy for a half earlier this year.
