Hardin is definintly going in the right direction with this hire.  Fortune has never been afraid to step up to the challenge of taking over a "weaker" program.  I'm sure he is more motivated than ever to prove to people it aint the size of the dawg in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dawg.

We all expect CS to have a good year but the real question is can one of the 3rd place under dawgs (cleveland, liberty)can step up and beat the falcons for 2nd.

Results show that Morrisey also  received 3rd in the shot put...Double Congrats!

Congrats to Ms. Morrisey however she won with a throw of 121.  Still great for her, I got to catch this event yesterday and was pretty stunned by the cleveland girl who got the bronze medal and only by a few inches.  Most impressive athlete in the event.  She couldnt of been more than 5'4 and maybe a 140 lbs and she was actually leading going into the finals.  It was a tight competition!!!

Being how high school track in east texas isn't as strongly supported as much as some of the other team sports, it doesn't shock me how this happened and how the community and others find it to not be that big of a deal.  I dont know about getting fired, but I think being stripped of the district title would be more fitting.   

If he got a dq from the event then that makes him disqualified from participating in the rest of the meet which might make him forfit his bronxe medal.  I beleive this is a UIL rule...I wonder if the AD's know that???

So I'm curious to know what was the point in starting a thread about this gentleman?  Was is to prove that he hasn't been a very succesful head coach OR to prove that he is the most winningest coach in quite possibly one of the worst 3a schools football has to offer in texas high school history???  Take it whichever way you want but I think the hornets are lucky to have him!!!

1 out of your 3 might make it out the first round...bc is good but will get beat by cold city...silsbee is returning skill kids but no lineman so they will get throttled by huffman..and wos should beat liberty/channel 2 aka cleveland!!!

LaMarque would destroy Huffman, and Navasota. [/quote] you can say that again!!  La marque is going to consider anything less than a state championship a disappointment.  CS will play them pre district so that will give huffman a good idea of what they would be up against and it aint looking good for anyone that plays la marque.  CS is still and will remain the team to beat, they have a good thing going right now.  Huffman, Liberty, and Cleveland will brawl it out for the rest.  I have to give the edge to Huffman cuz they have the most consistency in there program, you never know what drama cleveland will be in...and liberty acts like they don't even want their coach.  The standing will probably end the same as they did last season!
