Wow, huge upset indeed!  This loss should prove to everyone that the indians are just not nearly as skilled as they have been in the past. This should bring them back down to the reality that they are extremely beat able and so is anybody else in the distirct.  Coaching, or lack there of will always get questioned in cleveland especially when you have 3 headed monsters on the team, but it aint like he got out coached by Rice.  It will be interesting to see how this indian team will repond.  Nice job longhorns!

Correct, that group needs is young and very inexperienced and coaching and fundamentals is what this years team needs to be focusing on!!  I hope they get it going during district!

Coldspring definintly had the best players in the district hands down.  Whether its the water or the phenominal gene pool, their players deserved all their picks.  If a kid doesnt get picked its either he wasn't nominated or the district coaches didn't feel that their play beat out the other nominees.  Many fights and arguments take place in all district selections so it isn't something that is fixed.  I was a little shocked that cleveland had such a low number of selections for being a playoff team...yet the same rules apply to them too.

Yes it would be nice to see them get it together by district so that they can at least repeat as district champs this year.  All that HJ talk can stop this year...this years indian team needs to focus on FUNDAMENTALS and defense that will help their run at a district championship!

Its going to boil down to what team doesnt turn over the ball.  Just to get the big boys fired up I'm curious to know who is going to block 52 and the long haired linebacker from cs.  They are both EXTREEEEMELY hard to block.  WOS also has two guys in the similar positions in 74 and 49, however 74 goes both ways so that might play a factor later in the game.  Yet, I was VERY impressed at the skill kids from WOS and their cut blocking ability.  In the open field they are the best Ive seen all year!!!  BOy ole Boy it will be a physical match that's for sure!!

Ok here is something that cs and wos fans.  Both teams are not very strong up front offensively.  The difference is between the two offensively thoughout the season is cold spring scored alot and wos didnt.  i do think wos is playing better offensively in the playoffs right now but they are also playing much weaker teams in the playoffs than they did during their  pre district and district games.  Cs is playing much tuffer opponenets then wos in playoffs but who really cares cuz they are both getting wins.  Both teams strong suit is there defense.  Both d's are fast and physical, both run the same type of scheme and are similar in sum areas.  Both sets of inside backers are fierce.  I still give the edge to the cs defense.  I would think that both d's have improved since district. I know when cleveland played wos they scored 14  in the first half on and then got shut out in the 2nd.  When they played cs I thought they had 3 first downs the whole game.  take that with a grain of salt but I'm going to take it as the trojan defense is better, so my edge goes to cs!! I hope wos beats bullard so the 22-3a vs 21-3a showdown takes place next week!   

I think WOS has played very very well in the play offs.  I dont think their offensive line is good and that will hurt them against a team like coldspring who has the speed to not let them get outside. I'm excited for Coach Thompson in his first year as the hc and I wish the stangs the best of luck.  I hope to see these two teams play after thanksgiving break!!  I'm calling it the true 21-3a vs 22-3a SHOWDOWN!!!

Yes congrats...I have been very impressed with this d all year and they are still getting it done. 

WOS seems to be playing very well right now so great timing.  I hope they keep on advancing cuz I would like to see the Trojan vs Mustang show down in the quarters!!!

CS defense will keep them in anygame all through the playoffs.  If the opposing team (like bc did) can scheme up the trojans and hold them to low points that definitly helps their chances.  However, morrison's d is very very impressive and that will make the difference.  2-0 Trojans, lol... but very possible!!!

I'm really siked to see the indians back in the playoffs!  I seem to feel the same way about this game like i did the silsbee one.  I predicted that cleveland would surprise everyone and play silsbee very close and they did but for only a half.  So if they can do that for the whole game against the mustangs it makes a great 1st round ball game.  Best of Luck to all of 22-3a!!!!

Shepherd has played tuff in district and splendora has made sum offensive personel changes that will help them in this game.  I will give the edge to Shepherd.

Ok after this post i'm through with this thread...Yes i think cleveland has some athletes so yes they should always be competetive, however your looking at an average senior class, which only a hand ful of them played on the 09playoff team, only 3 juniors play on varsity, and the rest are sophomores.  To be their first year in a new offense and defense and to have won the number of games they have is pretty respectable imo...I think their losses are to silsbee, cs, and huffman..3 very good teams.  To sit here and say that the coaches arent playing to their kids talent sounds just like the last group of idiots that ran off tullos.  As far as the qb dilema, there shouldn't be one...nothing against 8 but from the few games I watched it seems like 12 makes them more dynamic, irregardless of the scheme.  We are all on the outside looking in, unless your a coach and have coached at this level you can't say what you would do with what kids you have.  Good luck Indians! 

Yes I have had a chance to watch both teams this year and I think this one will be good.  Both teams look like they can score quickly so the better d will prevail.  Best of luck!
