Soulja.....u make a good point that Vidor fans cannot expect to be given the same respect in regards to a winning tradition such as Bmt. and Mid Co. teams because frankly that tradition just isn't there. Vidor fans are so proud of the Pirates and what they accomplished last season that it is hard not to brag on them.....Football is king and highschool football brings out the best and worst of a fans.

This Pirate team is made up of special young men like Zayne, IMO some of the finest young men that have ever graced the field, young men full of the kind of heart and tenacity which has propelled them to the 3rd round of the 4A Division 1 playoffs. Some folks have called them a "scrappy" team; I call them a team with heart, a hard-nosed, ram-the-ball-down-your-throat type of team with a ton of hustle. The Pirates are a team of players that play with purpose and leave it all on the field.  God bless you Zayne.....and Go Pirates.

If Montana stays healthy, I believe he'll play D1 ball somewhere. He's a junior so we get him for another year along with most of this Pirate team. I never was really worried about losing Smallwood for tonight; he was the backup before Bolinger got hurt. We have several tailbacks that fit into the scheme. Montana just runs the offense really well, he's the key. Having said that, ya'll might get another shot at us next year....
