  1. Thank you for the story!!!! We appreciate it. This is really a truly good group of girls and on top of that very talented. I will miss watching them.....
  2. Lady Dawgs (Kelly) play on 1/19/11 at 6pm and 1/20/11 at 6pm.
  3. I know that reading things people can misinterpret and well you were way off. Arrogance and tone had nothing to do with my post. This was just a vent session hoping that a strong team can get some recognition. I have watched division one soccer for many years so yes I know what "real" soccer looks like. It is not arrogance, it is just a fact. As stated before I have nothing but respect for Westbook.  I see them as a strong team more so than in other team that Kelly has scrimmaged over the years in the area. I am just saying Kelly is right up there with them. By the way RDRSCR08 have you been to one of their games? Just curious.
  4. I invite any and all reporters who want to see how a real girls' soccer game is played to come out and watch a girls' Kelly game. They have a game on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Over the last several years we have played and although they have not gotten the title of State Champs yet they are a joy to watch. At the Woodlands High tournament this weekend playing the Woodlands team a Houston coach came up to the parents and said what an awesome team we had and could not believe we did not beat St. Agnes. An even though our scrimmages with the local high school teams do not count for anything Kelly has beat everyone over the last three years including Westbrook and Port Neches Groves (whom we played and beat them twice last year)  with at least two to three of our starters out hurt each time. This should speak volume of the talent that this team has and it is true they do not get any credit. Many of these girls do play on the same club soccer especially, on the Westbrook team and we do respect their talent. However, it would be nice for this talented Kelly team to get some recognition. Come on reporters. Come on down and just view the talent. They do deserve something. They deserve much more respect.
  5. I heard  Chiasson was hurt????? I heard she hasn't been showing up for the Albion games for at least a month???!!!
  6. There are girls here that have been offered to play on Albion because they are premier players, but chose to stay with their local team. I do completely agree that they have bigger aspirations, but I just don't understand why he will not even look at them. It is mainly the principle of it that bothers me.
  7. I know this goalie, and she was told that he did not need a goalie for this year, and that he has goalie up until 2013.  This goalie contacted Dewi several times along with her coach contacting him to even get a response from him. What I am trying to say is that he only goes to Albion he will not go to the Beaumont Select teams. Sladaritz was from Beaumont, but played for a Challenge team and that was at least three years ago. He has NEVER picked up a girl from a Beaumont Select team, and there are numerous players that are extremely talented. You can come see five of them at tomorrow's Select field as five girls play on the Kelly team.
  8. From what I have been told Dewi Hardman willl not pick up players from the Golden Triangle area, which is really ashame. There are truly committed talented girls in this area and he will not even consider them. Rumor is that he does not feel that our area girls are not committed enough. I would really love to challenge his current soccer team with the 2011 senior girls who do play club soccer for a game. I know the girls would give the Lamar team a run for their money. I understand that he might have had a bad experience from a local player in the past, but the upcoming girls that have been playing competitively since third or fourth grade. They know the meaning of commitment.
