[/quote] I personally think its great.  Allen is a great school district with great academics, and this stadium shows they are getting the athletic facilities to that same level.  The Allen administration and community obviously love their football, and their kids, and its showing.  With what they pay, and the facilities they have, they almost guaranteed to have great coaches leading their teams too. Tatum ISD, where East Chambers ex Andy Evans is, did something similar.  When the new sup, got their he upgraded the schools and put a priority on the academic side of things.  Once that was done, he said he wanted the best facilities in the state for sports (3A on down).  It wasn't just talk, he proved he was a man of his word.  Tatum ISD is first class all the way.

[/quote] How many buildings has Thomas built?  NONE!  Anyone who brings a bond for the community to vote on, lying in the community and telling half truths about his true intentions could get a bond passed.  Carroll Thomas is nothing more than a David Moore. WB Bear, since you are on the inside, are you familiar with Thomas giving a contract to one of his buddies to do all the electrical work for one of the new schools for around $1.2 million?  If your not learn about it.  Several electrical contractors in the area, including myself bid on the job, which is about a $400,000 job (just for the electrical work), and he gives it to one of his buddies (one of the only black electricians in the area) for $1.2 million.  Nothing wrong with that is there, heck, its tax payers money anyway.  Besides his inflated salary, and bonuses, no telling how much money he gets on the side.

I bet they don't name it after the superintendent.

Maybe Beaumont should name the city Library or one of the new schools after David Morre.  Beaumont's ex mayor and felon. Thats about a good a comparasion I can make to the school board naming the atheltic complex after the most egotistical, arrogant man in Beaumont.  And I forgot to mention the most overpaid.  Beaumont has had dozens of leaders of young people, and several in the athletic arena that are MUCH more deserving of a memorial.  Other than Carrol Thomas giving himself annual raise making him the highest paid administrator in Texas, what has he done.  Beaumont ISD pays pretty poorly for teachers, coaches, and any other district employee compared to just about any other 5A school in Texas, but this man still finds a way to convince BISD he's worhty of a raise, and large bonuses.  Pure BS and typical Beaumont crap. Willie Ray Smith runs circles around this man in terms of class and character.
