Ok- Dove- It's your turn
Yeah, yall may have have the players feeling a little bit too confident. Hmmm, I should have used this one as another why HJ will lose.
NO overconfidence in Sour Lake. Especially after a local AAU titan has notified them in advance that they don't stand a chance.

No close games. The victory over Kingwood Park (who recently beat a ranked 4-a team) was, I think, 9 points. Hmmm- I wonder why their winning margins are usually not small- Oh, yes, thats it- its the schedule - But I was thinking that when you beat Nederland, Central, Kingwood Park and Jacksonville, you have ostensibly beaten everyone they have beaten?
After careful analysis and a little *homeboy* research, sorry to say (for HJ fans) HJ will not win tonite. Not that I am saying I want HJ to lose. But here are my reasons why HJ will probably lose tonite: A. HJ has not had a close game all year. Are they really that good or as some suspect, a light schedule to rest those track weary legs. Will HJ go into panic mode when this game is close? B. Silsbee has been in the trenches all year long. Knows how to play in tight games. Has played in several big games already this year. Silsbee wins this one tonite. ;)
Many thanks for the comments Dove- I have a feeling that they will serve as good motivation after they have been communicated to the players.

Will the losing margin for HJ be double digit?

I would be interested to know what the traffic count on this board has been in the last 48 hours versus an average day.

Just move the clocks forward about 26 hours? [img][Hidden Content]]

Congrats on your articulate elocution on this eve of note.
So I guess everyone will be wearing their lucky shirt, shoes, lucky shirt-pants or combination? Lucky cap for home games..........not picking a personal favorite but I'm feeling HJ 67 Silsbee 63. HJ will hit a couple crucial free throws and get a steal with less than ten seconds on the clock.
Pay heed to the wisdomic efforts of No look- He has witnessed and predicted more close games than anyone I know.

You are impressed because a basketball coach knows a little something about basketball?

HJ basketball 27-0 heading into district
HJ supporters, you do realize when you lose your first game it will be front page/ headline news in the Sour Lake News!
Yep, when the inconceivable takes place, it will make headlines. But, of course, you will have it in all CAPS on this board before anyone else can publish the news. You have been sitting by your computer and television since the first of November waiting for the fateful day. -

When Silsbee comes to sour lake i'll treat everyone to some Lucky Donuts.
Better get there before the sun sets and bring cash ;D
Dove- I resent that cash comment. We have several ATMs in the Sour Lake. You are just mad because they wouldn't give you cash on your Canal Gasoline card.

I applaud anyone who is willing to risk their own capital and invest many work hours as well to make a business work. I just wish our current political leaders would not punish those who are successful.

I heard that the current Tigers coach was also a Silsbee restaurateur during his first stint as Tigers coach. Any truth to that?
I know 'some' that would want dunks because it will get them hyped up. 8)
And you are offended because "some" would get hyped up seeing dunks? After all, apparently you get hyped up seeing "sweet mid range jumpers". Aren't the games more interesting/exciting when a crowd particpates?

This astounding event keeps getting bigger and more important. Have just confirmed that Mi Pueblo will have guest chefs in to cook for the Lazeek/Poppabear contingent. That elite sector of society will have their meal/meals made and presented by none other than Paula Deen, Rachel Ray, and Emeril Lagasse. The Oscars, the Emmys, and the recently revealed secret Obama Halloween party all pale in comparison to this huge happening.
