Tiebreaker- No assurance they would meet in the playoffs
Kelly wins 68-47. Best game the Bulldogs have played all year by far. Balanced scoring, they won every quarter, it was fun to watch. Leading Scorers Thomas Falgout 16 Nick Schrapps 12 William Reese 10 Nigel Barber 10 Andrew Pace 7
Had heard a lot about their freshman group. Are any of the freshman playing varsity? If so, are they getting meaninful minutes?

The first game is in Silsbee, so the Tigers take it. The game in the Hawk's Nest will be H-J.
If you and the Dove are correct, then you need to go ahead and predict who wins the playoff for first place
really im sorry im not trying to be a jackass, HJ is a joke.... i mean i thought they were trying to show everyone they are a powerhouse but yall are not playing anyone worth a dang, who have they played that shows they are as good as they claim to be. i just cant wait for friday when silsbee whipes the floor with them :)
OF course you are trying to be a jackass and you have succeeded. Kingwood Park recently beat ranked 5A team Humble. Care to guess who HJ beat in their own tourney? Jacksonville beat then #1 ranked 3-a Mexia by 24. Care to guess who beat Jacksonville just before Christmas break? If they are not playing anyone worth a dang, you have just declared Beaumont Central and Nederland as not worth a dang. -
I guess "use him" implied that the offensive player could do whatever he wanted with the defender on him. Got it straight off the streets in Orange many many years ago.
;D ;D ;D ;D a two nanded chest pass count? ;D ;D You know, I've just thought about something. 'Those' fans probably get a kick out of 'crossing over' someone and making their 'ankle break' and cause the defender to fall only to miss the layup or turn the ball over. Since it got the fans excited, maybe we should keep a count of that as well, right?
Not necessary. I have been seeing about 200 games per year for many years and there has never been a crossover that caused a broken ankle. But since you bring that up, how about this? I would like to see somebody keep an "airball" shot count in spite of the fact that the airball is no more detrimental to the teams score than a missed mid range jumper.
The 'ankle break' is the basketball term when you slip and fall after being 'shaken' with a 'crossover'. Come on, Stevenash. Have you not heard of those 'basketball' terms before? LOL @ an airball shot count. ;D
New term for me. Familiar with cross over and shaken but never heard of ankle break. There was a time when "use him" was the term reflecting the cross over that caused an ankle break.

I didnt realize the Sherman Tourney had multiple brackets. If I am understanding you correctly, Pleasant Grove played in the 3-a bracket while Silsbee played in the 5a-4a bracket?

However, I have noticed that you seem to be quite pre-occupied with one when HJ is playing so I simply assumed you would also be keeping one when the team you back is playing.
I'm sorry. I was under the impression that it was an important stat since there was a dunk-o-meter for H-J games earlier this year. So, I figured I would inquire about the dunk count. Some seem to think it is more important than a sweet midrange jumper or a layup. ;)
Correction- "Some" came to the conclusion that it "appears" to be more important because certain posters(not me) were "oohing and ahhhing" about a particular dunk. I read all of those posts and at NO point did anyone STATE that a dunk was more important/valuable than any other shot that delivers two points even though it appeared to trouble some that they were having the conversation. I must confess, though, that I like the percentage chances of a dunk going through the hoop over the sweet mid range jumper.
I believe that 'those' were H-J fans, am I correct? Yes, I said fan(s). I'll also be looking forward to my weekly dunk count on H-J's next game. 8) 8) BTW, I'll take the easy layup over the dunk that is only 2 points just because the 'crowd' wants to see it. ;)
The "crowd" wants to see the easy layup over the dunk? Interesting. Yes, the conversation about the dunk was between two HJ fans but the one "troubled" by the conversation was a Central fan who immediately reminded the others that the point value was the same ( I'll bet they already knew that)

On a comparative scores basis, I would find it difficult not to rank LaVega as the #1 3-a team in the state
I know one thing. It will definatly be worth the price of admission!
Will you be keeping a dunk count?

Between Kountze, Silsbee and HJ, Hardin County sure looks good as a place where top notch Texas High School Basketball is played.
