1. The new rule states that a team can: A)  play 21 games and two tournaments or B) play 19 games and three tournaments You will see most teams opt for the latter option because of the number of games you can get in tournaments.
 2.

Do y'all think this new rule will will change some of our annual tournaments? We will definitely see fewer tournaments. I am curious if it will make for larger tournaments with more guaranteed games.
Then you would need an extra school day use to fit in more games
I really dont care about this stuff as long as it is not harmful to the Yates program.
 3. As long as Yates is treated "fairly", I have no cmplaints
 4. If he doesnt like ugly, what does he think about player suspensions?
 5. OK- Now I better understand things-  And to think I spent all that time waiting to watch the Longhorns take it all in Austin in 2012 as per his prediction.  Dove, I am putting you on notice that I no longer accept all of your comments as the gospel.

Here goes: I see WO-S winning district sweeping HJ and Silsbee. In fact, HJ and Silsbee will battle for the 3rd spot with HJ winning the play in game. WO-S and HJ should be the district favorites, both should be top 5 in state. Lowly Silsbee just cannot match up.
Not quite as easy for you to do because Silsbee plays a tough schedule and is engaged in "real basketball" and has a stable full of athletes. But I do commend you for those efforts.  Funny thing about this board.  If you take the position that your team is good and you want to defend them, the critics are ready to nail you.  If you take the opposite position, the same thing applies.
I think the same applies for HJ. They play a tough schedule, have athletes, play great basketball. HJ has won state titles. If anyone should have a "woa is me" attitude, it should be Silsbee. Silsbee is the low man on that totem pole. ;)
You are getting more proficient each time you post.  However, you contention that HJ has athletes and plays a tough schedule has been invalidated for several years by of Da Dove.
And therein lies your fault in your thought process. ;)
Are you suggesting that what Da Dove says is not always accurate?  He told me(on a post on this board) that he has been wrong only three times since he began posting

 8. Jump in there Dove and make it three.

WOS will be solid this year, but don't expect them to beat Silsbee.
Will HJ beat WO-S?
Not a chance.  WOS by 15 at home and by 10 at HJ
 11. Just trying to make this one of the best days you have had in a long time.
 12. 1. Silsbee 2. WOS 3. Orangefield, Buna, or HF?
 13. You wont ever find HJ being given consideration in the rankings again.  Those that are responsible for the rankings have paid more attention to this board and now fully understand just how weak the Hj schedule is, how they never play real basketball, and how their offseason preparations do not include sufficient "sport specific" training.  It is now being realized that the multiple appearances at regionals in recent years are an anomaly.
 14.
Silsbee over HJ in the picks! I love it.
Why wouldnt they be?
 15.
I'm interested to see what Blue Dove, Steve Nash, & AAW will say on this topic!!!!!  :) :) ;) :) ;) :) ;)
Ok- I'll bite- Silsbee ought to meet or exceed what they accomplished last year.
 16. Is that the player who left PAM about a year ago to come to Silsbee and then went back?  And now he is back at Silsbee again?  Or is it someone else?
 17. Joe Dumars came from McNeese and Karl Malone from Louisiana Tech
 18.

That kid can hoop!
Yes he can, but I know he feels kind of left out that everyone around him is recieving letters and some he is better than are. He will play ball somewhere. Most people dont know this but he is suppose to be a junior, but was moved up a grade in elementary. He is not even 17 yet.
I am pretty close to the program in which Devante plays and have been told personally that he has been spoken with and knows that his recruiting is moving along just fine.  He is, in no way, upset about what is or isnt coming in the mail.  Coaches have shown up to watch in person.  That means much more than letters in the mail.  Devante's play will take care of itself and his college future.  No need to speculate any further on what is or isn't going on with Devante.

You good, they will find you. Larry Bird comes to mind.
Yep, and he is gonna be found.  With Prudhomme gone, Devante will be "seen" and " noticed" a lot more.
[s]I agree ..I see your point.[/s]... :-[  nevamind!!
Whew!!! I am glad you made that correction
 20.
Whining coaches who try and start problems and media hype.
For sure.  There is not a single solitary reason that Yates or Prime Prep ought to have the same limitations imposed on the other schools with whom they are aligned.
 21. Yes, they "could" be.

 23.
Nash ::) Sadiq was born in Africa.  Been knowing JC's dad since high school. And Swift, well he lives in Houston.
Great- Its just simply amazing that they "grow their own so well and so regularly"
 24. Make him happy freeze by telling him this:  He is not getting attention because he plays for HJ  That will make Doves day
