I keep reading where folks are saying BH thinks they are going to State and now a Deep Playoff Run. Who is saying this? Am I missing a thread?
There was a poster right after last season who posted that BH was going to be unstoppable in this district. He posted multiple times. More recently, BH posters have commented as though they are surprised that the non-district record hasn't translated to district. I'm pointing out why that's the case and why its not surprising.

.....this Wise, from Houston Yates....Someone that saw them at the state tourney last year told me that he likes to sport red, and yellow suits when he coaches, typical crap from people like him.  Reminds me of one of Boutte's assistants years back, I think it was John Clayton.  He tried to dress like he was going to church, or some NAACP funtion.
How DARE he dress like that! By the way, guess what Yates school colors are.  Go on, guess. ;)

and I'm not sure what to make of that NAACP reference.

I don't follow hs basketball much, but this Wise, from Houston Yates seems to be a self promoter.  Every article I've seen from this year, he tries to build himself up, and try to make himself look like a Pat Riley by embarassing other teams.  Seems to be all about him, and how bad he can beat teams that would be lucky to compete in 2A.
Could you provide a couple of those cites or links to a few of the "every article (you've) seen" you mentioned above?

As far as I am concerned, it's NEVER okay to do what Yates and what HJ did. I see no reason to press while up by 100. You'll never convince me otherwise.

I never suggested that a team stop scoring and just hold the ball. I think those players off the bench should get the opportunity. But in these cases, the bench should have been playing right after the first quarter and for the remainder of the game. ;)
1. You misunderstand my motivation for posting.

    2. Apparently you're not aware of the situation re: the bench and how much they played in the first half and why they couldn't play more than 1 minute into the second half. Not that it matters much. Yates has their style, and that's that. I suspect they don't care to convince you any more than I do.
  5.
But you'll never convince me that Wise did not go out of his way to get a 135 point win. That score was forced, it didn't just happen that way becasue they were that much better than Lee.
I suspect you are correct. The Lee hard foul (cheap shot) probly resulted in a little more motivation. Not that it mattered much.

Interesting assertion BoBo. Since I've met him about 5 or 6 times and never got that impression, I'd like to read some of those articles that clearly show Greg Wise is "all about himself" or his "lack of class, respect and sportsmanship."

    Got any cites or links?

"Yates  170 to Lee  35"  end quote

That score says enough about the content of his character for me.
Well well well. It looks like the tide just went out and we can see who's naked. All I asked was to give us all a couple of those "numerous articles" and you slink away. and you dare to attack the character of someone else?? Sheesh.

.....When is enough enough?  You can still win, make a point about how great you are, still let the kids play hard without trying to embarass a team that is outmanned.  Poor excuse for class and sportsmanship.
enough is when you've done everything you can to win a national championship, given the nature of how those are won. Just like Nebraska running up 70+ in pre-BCS ncaa football era.

Ya'll act like BH is terrible they played a heck of a game against us...and they played C.E. King close both games...a minor slip for C.E. King and the game could have gone the other way...
Not terrible. mediocre, i.e. a typical BH hoop team. will finish in middle of pack at best in district. not a particularly tough district. pretty much an average district with no powerhouse team. Thus predicting a deep playoff run is delusional. i.e. refusing to face reality

    BH couldn't handle #32
We couldnt handel #32,11,22,or anyone else King put on the court yesterday! hope we get our stuff together for Friday against K-Park or we will be 0-3 to start district play...  :(
just plug in the jersey numbers for CE King, Kingwood Park & Galena Park. BH will be swept by them all. (0-7)

Me too....this is the lowest my percentages have been since I started this.
you clearly picked BH by virtue of their record and Crosby over Kingwood Park based on program history. No one who'd seen them all play would've made those picks
  12.
well they have scored over 100 on some mighty good teams. but my god. if you can not win and show some class. where dose that leave you??????
playing for a national championship....

.....while limited to playing in the 2nd largest classification in the state......and playing in a VERY weak district. They WILL put 200 on AT LEAST one team in their district. They need the national press. Like Nebraska stomping weak fb teams by 70 points to get the natl championship votes in the pre-bcs days. That's simply the nature of what it takes to win it. They didn't invent this system for winning a natl 'ship. They're just playing by those "rules"

bh is struggling a little right now. they seem to have lost their groove. they look a little off lately
Struggling due to playing much better teams now. Cannot hide behind soft non-district schedule. BH will not make playoffs unless they can knock off very poorly coached under-performing Crosby team. CE King, Galena Park and Kingwood Park will definitely sweep BH. Only hope is squeaking past Crosby at home and tiebreaker comes into play favorably for BH. BH bb fans are delusional.
