After tonights game, I think Vidor proved a lot of you guys wrong. They may not have won, but they proved that they can hang. Nederland didn't really have an off night either, so that excuse is out the window. As I'm a Vidor fan, I mat be somewhat biased. However, I have a big cheesy smile on my face as I'm writing this because I think Vidor just shut all those haters up. They didn't win, but that was a close game. I can imagine Bryan English had a little sweat running down his face all the way to the end of the game.

A lot of people have been hating on Vidor, but I think they made a statement tonight. Mancibo stepped up big, and if some of the other big players had knocked down a few more shots, Vidor could have come out with a W. Vidor will be shaking up their district this season, I think they proved that much. They have the potential to anyways. Vidor played well, Nederland just played better. Great job both teams. That was an exciting game.

Good win Pirates. Way to fight and never give up. Those kids have some heart.

Many of their games have been close. It just seems that down the stretch, they hurt themselves in some way. Missed free throws, turnovers, offensive rebounds... However, I believe Vidor could come back with a vengeance the second half of the season and surprise some people. I definitely wouldn't put it past them to upset some teams if they continue playing hard.

Missed free throws came back to haunt Vidor Late in the game. Hard fought game all-around.
