1. My prediction: If you're a lion, you will be cryin'. Free Butch slaps for everyone!!!

Did ya'll know we have 10 current players from the 2008 state finalist team starting ;)
How many did yall have starting last year when yall lost?  ;)
There's the hubris i've been waiting on.  Does that covered practice bubble become a liability during inclement weather?  Just seems like it would be hard to develop an overall team toughness if you aren't allowed to get wet during football practices.  On the other hand, the Bronco defense is plenty tough, so I guess you could attribute that to the lack of an indoor practice bubble.  So, I guess it's been settled, Brenham gets beat because of their superior practice facility (and the Bronco defense).

 4.
Did ya'll know we have 10 current players from the 2008 state finalist team starting ;)
I was wondering about that.  Can you come up with a list?
 5. I've noticed that Xavier Baldwin has been making some pretty big open field hits/tackles from the secondary the past few games.  Good job making hard nosed football plays.
 6.
I have been rained out @ work years ago more times w/20% than any other.Man you knew when Ed Brandon @13 used to say it woud be a beautiful day look for shelter.BOT it's the teams that have a solid passing attack that concerns me ;) :D 8)
The secondary has gotten better every game.  I think they will keep improving as the playoffs go on.  The Broncos are really well balanced on both sides of the ball. I know some people look at livingston and think that the weather will favor the running game, but Dayton can run the ball pretty good as well.  The jumbo set is vicious and McBride has been really sure handed.  Look for a big game from the Maurice Jones Drew clone coming out of the backfield.
 7. You forgot to pick Dayton over Brenham in region 3.
 8.
Seriously Dayton coaching staff will still be working on the football program after this second season ends. You can ask the man and he'll tell ya-NOBODY cares what you do after football @Dayton.Ask yourself this; How many years has the broncos won dist in Basketball? Now Livingston is always good in Basketball every year,Dayton should get an applause for helping them get a early start ;) 8) ::) ;D ;D
Good thing it's football season, because you do not want to hear my opinion about the basketball program.  With that said, Go Bronchos and get prepared to kick some 20-4a 'you know what'.
 9. I can make some pretty good guesses by looking at the stats, but what are some of the strong points for the Lions?  What type of Defense do they run? Burners on special teams?
 10. There's no way Dayton can look past Livingston.  One of your very own already told us that Livingston's offense is the best that the Broncos have seen in a decade.  I, for one, can't wait to see how the Dayton defense holds up against an offense that can eclipse Lake Travis with Garret Gilbert or Sulphur Springs with Tyreke the Freak.  I've got a feeling the Broncos will be plenty focused for this one.
 11. Livingston will meet the buzz saw in one week. On a side note:  Has anyone looked at the game stats from Dayton.  I'm willing to bet that they are dang near 50/50 in run/pass attempts.  I'm also willing to bet that after charting out the plays the broncos have run that Livingston will realize that they are facing a completely balanced offense and there is really no way to prepare for the Broncos.  Good job on the play calling thus far nations.

Let Merka run to the edge and Crosby beats BH.  Just my opinion.  Also, if his receivers would catch the ball, that would be helpful to the cougars.
If an NFL team played for North Forest that would help them too.
Don't know if you've seen the cougars play, but he drills the receivers in the numbers over and over, but they keep dropping the ball.  Maybe the receiving core is young or something.  And while we are at it: If BH had an offense with elements from a time period after the sixties that would help them too.
 13. I can't wait until I have kids, I'm going to make sure they go into coaching so I can convince them to always come out late.  This will ensure that there will be a thread for me to read that allows me to burn 20 minutes. P.S.  I also thought it was funny that Barack almost got blamed for Flanny and Gagey-boy skipping the anthem.  It could have been so sweet with a little more elaboration.
 14. Let Merka run to the edge and Crosby beats BH.  Just my opinion.  Also, if his receivers would catch the ball, that would be helpful to the cougars.
 15. I want to see the Bronco Defense do it again tonight-- ZERO POINTS ALLOWED.
 16.
The D is way better than last year. The only time they have been exposed is when the O struggles. In the 3 losses it seems like the D was out there the entire game. We struggle a little in the passing game because we commit so much to the run. It seems like this year the secondary is playing the ball alot more than last and I havent seen 1 true blown coverage this year. Let all the nasayers think its because 19-4A is weak but I can tell you the Broncos will bring their helmets to ya in every game.
yessir'
 17. These guys have impressed me all year long.  I think that they have gotten better every game.  I like what I"m seeing.  Keep up the good work guys.  You guys are turning into one of the best defensive teams that has come through Dayton in a long time.
 18.
I heard there where going D1 does anyone know? I heard Aledo might too but i highly doubt that! I dont think thats true. Rumors these days. If this is true tryin to be cocky or anything it could be a easy ride for Brenham just saying Angelton,PNG and Dayton arent that as good as they were last year.
You're right, Dayton isn't as good as they were last year...they're better!
 19.
I thought it was interesting that they moved Rip & Wright to the ends last night. Wright from the nose and Rip from OLB position. It sure seemed to work well against Merka. I watched them pretty close all night and those guys are amazing! They used a great deal of patience and discipline. It was a thing of beauty to watch them play their blocks and read, then attack. It's got to be hard for those guys not to just throw their blocks to the side and get in after the QB, which both of them could do on every play. But they didn't. They stuck with the game plan in the interest of the team and it paid off big time. Contaiment on Merka was outstanding. It's also worth mentioning that Tousant more than held his own at the nose. Great job guys. I salute the coaches as well. That was fun to watch. The whole defense is fun to watch. I wonder if that move was just a special surprise for Merka and the cougars or if they will stick with it.
Rip at TE and Wright behind him in the jumbo set also makes for some pretty impressive blocking on offense.
 20. Game balls:  Ryan McBride, Joe Duff, #4, Charles Toussant (where have we been hiding him?), Rip for his play on the O-line, Merka (think of the possibilities if his parents would have moved to Dayton when he started seventh grade).  Herrera for playing smart. No Balls: Crosby for being late. Dayton for crying about crosby coming out late.
 21. Trap game here.  I think we will see mcbride get a lot of touches and I would imagine we might try to polish up the passing game a little bit also.  I look for the Defense to pitch another shutout.
 22.
I just wonder who will come out for the national anthem first? Gage or Flannigan?  ???
I don't know that the game will ever start if they both decide to wait the other out.  I guess all teams can't be on the field ready to play when the time comes for the game to start.  I wonder which coach spends more time in the mirror during pregame?
 23. He reminded me of Maurice Jones Drew.  He will be a wrecking ball when he puts on some more muscle and gets even faster.  I also noticed that he is sure-handed. He is fun to watch AND he layed some licks a few times.  It's nice to see the RB just run up and hit someone.
 24. I vote FLANNY over Gage.  Crosby takes this one but BH wins their first playoff game.
