Cheap skate tackle takes out Jakari for the season. GET WELL SOON JAKARI!!!
Do you feel like the hit was just kids playing ball or that it was malicious? Were you able to get it on video? Jakari will heal up as long as he keeps his head up.
I seen the video and it was not the tackle #5 kicked Jakari in the leg. The video was filmed from about 4 ft away and shows it all (very graffic). Dont know how  the kid was not ejected because the kick was clearly intentional. This was one of the classless football games I have ever seen, from the CROS team not even on the field for the athem to coming out after the time ended  on the clock at the half. The CROS fans had to holler at the players to take a knee when the JD was down on the side line. The program is classless and it starts with the coach. I would be ashamed to call myself a Cougar regardless of the scoreboard but what went on during the game. All I can say CROS is be proud very proud.
Don't hold back, tell us how you really feel.
 4. It looked late to me, but not terribly dirty.  Kind of waiting to see some video on that one.
 5.
What is it with that....every game they're late coming out.  Not to mention they were not out on the field for the national anthem.
That's just Flanny being Flanny.  How do you like the new nickname that I'm giving him?  I think that Flanny has a really nice ring to it. Flanny. Flanny.

 7. Put that in your pipe and smoke it goobers.  Note to Flanny:  When you come to the field late the only thing you accomplish is making it look like your team doesn't want to play.  To borrow from the esteemed fellows at westbrook: SCOREBOARD BUTCHES  42 - 3
 8. It's not that Crosby is all that bad...it's just that Dayton is that good.  It was fun to watch the cougar fans clear the stands like cockroaches.  Coogtalk......Coogtalk.....this is me gloating.  Maybe next decade you guys can get another win against the mighty, mighty broncos.  I'd wait for your reply, but you are just going to have to keep it zipped until the cougars when a playoff game.  I wish we would have hung fifty on them, but I'll take a 42-3 beatdown with all things considered.  Maybe next year little Flanny will learn how to come out on time.  Bush League move Flanny.
 9. Friday's Fortune cookie: If you aren't running with us, then run from us. Let's go BRONCOS.
 10.
Oops. I got the Rotary club mixed up with the Booster club. My bad. For a second there I thought maybe Stewart was running some 3rd world footbal camps to develop some future talent!  ;D
Oh, you haven't heard about the Mogambo family that's moving in from East Africa.  I believe they hail from the yoruba tribe.  They have 6 sons, each 10 months apart, the oldest is 14 is 6'2" tall, runs a 4.35 forty, and holds the tribal record for tackling the most wildabeasts consecutively. The thirteen year old isn't as big, but he's a little faster.  Those 3rd world football camps are really paying off.
 11. For your information, there will be a moon-a-thon taking place after the game tonight.  My buddy is going to create a diversion to delay the departure of the visitor side of the stadium.  While this is occurring the entire population of Dayton and it's surrounding areas will line highway 90 and drop trow as the crosby fans make their way home. We're gonna give them something to remember. (In my best Dale Gribble voice)
 12.

We are here, just watching the Dayton fans dig there hole. I sure hope that y'all like the taste of crow, because there will be plenty to eat after 10/29/10.
You do realize that the butt kicking Dayton is going to put on Crosby is going to be legendary don't you?  You're children's children will tell their children about the terrible things that happened to the Cougars on the 29th of October in the year of our lord 2010.  I would suggest that the cougars have counselors on hand so that the coog fans will have someone to guide them into healing after they watch their team get dismantled.
This post is in my top ten...just sayin'.
 13. Objectively speaking....Who's eating some fish at the junior high tomorrow before the game?
 14. I am absolutely 100% ready for this game to take place.  To borrow from my much admired friends at Westbrook, IT'S GO TIME BUTCHES. Tyrones Predictions: Andres Herrera will be the offensive player of the game.  He will be like the hispanic version of doug flutie with the moxy of macho camacho.  Andres is about to take it up another level and show everyone that he is one of the toughest quarterbacks that Dayton has had in a long time. Darrian Wright, Aarron Ripkowski, Xavier Baldwin.  These 3 will make big plays and will continue to make big plays as the season progresses.  This will be a statement game for the secondary.  The safety should have noticed that Merka is either on the button or a little long which indicates he has too much arm for his receivers.  Defensive backs will play the ball and the receiver...look for interceptions on tipped balls that go airborne. Dayton wins. Crosby 17    Dayton 56
 15. I can't believe I'm saying this, but good post cougtalk.  One point of interest concerning Merka's size...we have a not-so-secret weapon that will negate whatever size Merka brings to the running game. Dayton is fortunate to have the strongest high school linebacker I've seen in a long time.
 16. I've been waiting for this to come out!!! How many places does Dayton move up if they beat Crosby impressively this Friday? Congrats Kirbyville, I bet that kind of chaps the glasses of a pair of 5A schools.
 17. I predict that the broncos will play harder than crosby on friday night.
 18.
I luv how 90% of response have to do with football... FYI daytons not without trashing locker rooms. In fact i hear people take censored out of thier visitors locker rooms when dayton comes to town. Luv how you dismiss your players actions, completely a laud someone as a legend... How many state titles has he won exactly? o yeah 0. With that said, lets look at recent track records. Last 3 playrs to leave Dayton for D1 Yall had a Qb go to WVU, Cody Green go to Nebraska and AJ go to UH. Cody Greens never going to see the field unless theirs injury. WVU kid quit and came home, and Aj got kicked out. Crosby sent one to baylor... hes the Nickelback starting and has a 3.0+ GPA... AT BAYLOR. Merka's Going to TCU, he'll play because hes multidimensional and a good kid. Funny how it works like that...
I hope that all the kids do well and that the lessons they learn in the athletic forum are good ones.  I still like it when Dayton beats Crosby because I'm from Dayton and not Crosby.  Stewart has done a good job getting the most out of the players he has.  He has built a good program.
 19.
It really sux that Crosby will not be undefeated in district for this game as originally advertised.  I expect Crosby to come out and throw everything on the line to try and win this game.  Dayton lost 2 district home games last decade and have really been hitting on all cylinders after the slow start on offense.  I'm guessing everyone in purple remembers last year's game and will not make the same mistakes.  I would also expect they remember cheering the injury of a Dayton player, the delay in coming out of the locker room after halftime, and the classless harassment of the Dayton radio announcer during the game.  Call it a grudge match, call it revenge, call it whatever you want.  Crosby is in for a spanking on Friday.
preach
 20.
sometimes i dream of b.m.f. and tyrone biggums with their pants off.  Did i just say that out loud.
You're not the only one.  Btw, I'm all pitch and no catch.  Just sayin'.
 21.
I think you are right. If we had an average defense we would be right there. And really, if you get down to it, last year our defense in the secondary cost us all year long. Our D line was good and our LB's were real good, but the secondary kept giving up huge plays. I see a common denominator. Two things I see that need drastic improvements in the years to come if we are going to be a main player. The defensive scheme is going to have to improve drastically and the offense is going to have to get more creative and not so predictable..... dang this is easy sitting in my recliner! I got it all figured out.
good post
 22.
I clicked on this link thinking it was going to be a PN-G-related thread... :D Oh, well. We'll do our part... in Vidor. ;D
Now that's some serious solidarity.  Very impressed.
 23. How angry are the players about what happened when they played crosby last year?  I hope that they are focused on handling business this coming friday night.  The broncos still have a few gears left, but i think it's time to shift up and let the machine start picking up speed.  Get your heads right gentleman and prepare to play big in front of the home crowd this Friday...it could be the last one some of the broncos get to play in Bronco Stadium...make it a good one.
 24. If anything, last night's loss will make crosby more focused and more desperate.  In the GCM game flanigan went for it on 4th and moderate yardage when the scoreboard didn't dictate doing such. Merka is their punter.  The key here for the Bronco defense in my opinion is to pressure Merka but keep outside containment.  The Crosby receiver corps and running back do not match up well with Dayton's defense.  If I were gameplanning this one (AND I'M NOT) I would expect to see Crosby's offensive scheme to look like it did in the second half of their past two games. Dayton should win this one, but they really need to focus if they want to send a message to Crosby that their behavior was unacceptable last year.  And by sending a message, I mean handing Crosby an embarrassing loss that lets the entire region know that the Broncos will not be disrespected by a team like Crosby. Hit em hard boys, hit em hard.
