  1. IMO and based on articles I have read:  Some kids go to one sport, but usually it's after your freshman yaer. Some kids stop playing football, because their friends dont play, or they play another sport. Some kids know they played limited amounts in middle school, and just don't want to ride the pine in high school. Some are focued on academics and quit sports all together.  I think it depends more on erollment then amount of coaches, if you have the number of boys you need to fill the team, you will have the coaches.

There are a few select coaches that are in it for themselves. The majority that I know, are all about the kids and tell them being a multisport athlete is better for you. Other sports enhance you and help you for the next, keeps you in shape, etc.  Mine plays select basketball, but is a multisport player.
  2. Mostly it is a person who does not want to see you or your team succeed.  It could be because they are jealous of your talent, they could actually really think highly of your play, think you are a good player, but instead of letting you know, or asking you to help them get better,  they throw Hater Aide.  Some haters are just that, no one or team is better then what they believe in.  It can be team mates as well, they would rather see someone fail, because they cannot rise to the challenge themselves.
  3. He is a kid.  Most kids these days, you cannot get them to put the phone down, it just kills them.  If he is texting on the sideline, thats a coaches area or his parent to handle. If someone asked him to pose for a pic and he said no , not during a game,  how many would blast him for thinking he as too good to take a pic, when he is not in uniform.  Both of the boys are kids, they make mistakes, we all need to remember that.

  5. Bulls play with TIFI  Texas Intercity Football Inc,  based in the Houston area.
They did play in the Long Star league for two years a few years ago, but started with TIFI many years ago, and then returned there.

Sgt the board is really doing a great job and has the teams best interest at heart.  The AD has been there long enough to know about the little bitty rules.  You can always talk to the board and you know where to find me.  There is always a X on beaumont, they hate making that long drive down here.
  6. It is micro managing.  Never know if someone is watching the time you start practice, or who would tell someone.  A couple years ago, someone actually got in trouble from another team for starting too soon.  Another team, 2 yrs ago, in summer before season, would take players he knew would play for him 2 at a time, and do QB/center exchange, and pass routes,  hand offs,  2 kids at each corner of field,  because rule said a coach and 3 players was a practice,  they had to put a stop to that.  We started getting more participation about 2 years ago , every now and then we would have to not start a game on time too.  but I think most of those parents moved on the high school by now.  good luck this weekend.

A true fan proudly supports his or her team regardless of the outcome. It is right to show appreciation for all of the hard work these young kids give for our entertainment. This fact is even more important in light of the events surrounding the tragic death of WOS quarterback Reggie Garrett. So yes, uknowit, I am going to cheer for my Hardin Hornets even louder this week than I ever have. From here on out, they need to know that we believe that what they do on and off the field is important. I don't think you even know who our kids are or what they stand for, but if you did, you'd love them too. This week, the significance of every high school football game is symbolized in something far beyond what any scoreboard can measure. The legacy of Reggie Garrett is a lesson for all of us, young and old alike.

Agreed Starfish.  you stand by your team win or lose.  hardin should have done better last year, key injuries hurt, key players did not play to their potential, it happens.  Hardin is better then i thought they woud be this year, still have some turnovers to overcome, and their are in one of the toughest districts in the state this year.  Good luck to the Hornets, no matter if we place in district or not.
