I hear ya... No secret with O-Line depth. If you watch closely though... Coach Smith doesn't just have the #1 O-line going. Mixing up everything experience wise. Teaching the more experienced lineman how to work with different personnel is what I see. Rarely do I see the #1 O-Line all together. More than just spread blocking scheme going on here now. Of course, as always. jmo

The outside receivers are great targets with hands and speed. They will have their big plays, no doubt. But the damage will be done out of the backfield. Two highly capable backs with hands and speed to burn is where the true danger lies. Only the best defenses can cover two backs, two receivers AND.... Not even going to mention the QB's running capability.

Was looking forward to watching this scrimmage on Lumberton's new turf. Oh Well.....Home Field Advantage now. lol.

No idea what you are referring to...? Might be a reply on another topic or forum but definitely wasn't mentioned here by me. As far as criticizing your running attack? Don't think I have, could be wrong. But to be plain about one thing... Silsbee still runs the spread. Haven't abandoned anything from what I've witnessed, just added two back sets due to coaching style. Also....pretty confident that our poor defense (play & penalties) aided dramatically in most teams success against us. Hopefully, and I do say hopefully, the defense improves even a marginal amount.

Plenty of tackling drills. Coach Allen and others not pulling punches either. Looking forward to Friday. Between the fired up style of Babin (Raiders) and Allen (Tigers) this ought to be interesting.

Just figured I would share something I haven't heard IN A LONG TIME!! At practice other day watching Coach Allen (Silsbee DC) grill his DBs during morning session. After warming up his guys and running drills he faces them off for tackling/hitting drills. Coach Allen: " Alright lets get it on. Show me what you got!! " (For those of you who have not seen Coach Allen, VERY ANIMATED/MOTIVATED) Anonymous DB pauses and looks at Coach: " We hittin' ? " Coach Allen: " Are We Hitting ?! ", " Heck Yeah We Hitting !! Why Do You Think You Wearing Those Pads ?!! Anonymous DB: ... no comment ... Stands Erupt in Laughter/Clapping/Cheers Next thing you hear are the glorious sounds of pads popping and tempers flaring. Loved It. Thanks Coach Allen Keep Them Coming

Id put money down that if he is on the grass and the ball is close, its caught. You have to cover him, period. If you don't he catches everything without even trying. He can produce at any high school level. jmo

Not telling.... Doesn't matter if I remember right. Plan seems to be leaning towards a triple coverage on one receiver and not worry about anyone else.

Silsbee sporting a nice rotation. 6 Seniors / 1 Junior / 4 Sophomores (I Believe) Can spot 3 Seniors or 3 Sophomores up front AND maintain a Senior back row at same time. Coach Hicks made the point clear of her confidence in her underclass players. Started game with 3 Soph's up front and then rotated big hitters Carmenar and Brooks right behind them. Powerful lineup with lots of versatility and no glaring weaknesses. Should be a very good season for the Lady Tigers.

Specualtions are a beautiful thing, Fodder for the masses.
