  1. i've compared stats along and it looks like LP is in the position to win. The running backs from LP are beat up.  i expect to see anywhere from 8-15 more passess this game and quicker rotation in the backfield. i know the team is preparing a two week schedule.  Atascocita this week and a tough hard nose running game and stuff the running game Deer Park Deer team.  The dogs have a bye after the DP RIVALRY and then its channelviewto open up district. as a former player, you do factor in the next two weeks as one week.  From a coaching standpoint i would limit the runs for Webb because he had an obvious limp during the game and was not as slash and explode has he has been. the Klein Forest D was solid. give him only 15 carries and let the Scott and Whitely carry the load. they are young fresh. and soph. so this would be a good reps for them, a maturity boost in knowing they will carry the load and the success of the team and also a confidence booster to them going into the Biggest rivalry LP has and then going into district. it (dp game) is the last  game before an off week and then district...use this gamefor those reasons. The defense looks solid for us so i would continue to work the basic...tackle, tackle, tacke. LP has been a good wrap-up team so far. DONT GET AWAY FROM THAT.
  2. Any prediction? i will say LP37-HA 13. also its LP Homecoming, so i reallyhope thy win this one!
  3. i missed this helmet crushing blow in the first half but thank God for youtube. ??? lol [Hidden Content] 2nd half saw 6 helmets knocked off KF players heads. every week LP defenders are divorcing helmets from opponent's head.  i would tighten up those straps. ;D
  4. Here is a link to the Houston Chronicle report on the game. for  a FULL GAME REPORT please read...because to be honest, i missed the first half of the game due to mis-timing a start time for the Resident Evil movie :D [Hidden Content]
  5. It was a the game the offense needed! The O was caged all game, having to FIGHT for every yard earned. KF lined up in a 40 front with 2 defenders lined up on the L.O.S. weakside of the formation, they will then rush offr the edge. The rest of the 2nd level defenders would pack the 5-7 yard range. Of course the wrs (2 of them) were played press/bump and run coverage. The KF defense solded out to stop the run, that they did do when you compare this week's rushing success to the previous two games. I worried what would happen to the offense if they faced an equally sized and speed defense and it was a worthy opponent.    I came away impressed with QB McNeil emotional and overall "a General leads from the front and should be the first to taste battle" mentality.  I could see the O panicing because the overall dominance was not there this week.  The frustration was obvious when a player to remain un-named took a late shot on one of the KF defenders in the center of the stadium stare and didnt take kindly to players trying to calm him down. The oline should take the opportunity to grow from this. they have done a great job these past two games and should use the frustration from this game as a energy boost for the remainder because we only see tougher opponents from here on out.   The backfield was exhausted...getting gang tackled by 3 or more defenders everyplay zaps your energy. i give KF for piling on until the whistle.   I would have liked to see the play-calling open up. we stuck to the running game more than to my liking but the hands of the receivers were not there tonite either. so i understand. Thank the man upstairs for the defense...   The defense won the game. KF played mostly 5 wide (mizzou-style) offense. Our defensive scheme was man coverage and blitz all but one remaining defender. The run game was kept in check although #6 for KF was giving key yardage when needed late in the game. The defense did cause a few turnovers as they have in previous games. i believe our take-away abilities will be key to our distrit games.  LP did get burnt over the middle while playing cover 0 a few times which produced either a TD or key 1st down for KF.  McNeil did play some safety late in the game and really added a presence to the middle of the field, he broke up a td pass towards the end of the game.    This is the game LP needed.  A tough full 4 quarters game.  we have atascosita next week which i have LP favored. I know Atascosita has been impressive these past two years but i see them not being on that level this year as of right now. I'll give an early prediction for a 12 point victory but after more research i'll submit a final draft on that. Also, MARK your calenders for La Porte at Deer Park!!! Deer Park is looking good (despite a goose egg put on them by the Clear Creek Wildcats tonite, which was meet with applause by our fans tonite).  if you have the open slot. make it down here for that game. Deer Park will be a worthy opponent for one of our district members.
  6. thanks! it was a sloppy game but a win none the less. The D carried the day. McNiel is a leader for the team. more to come when i get home. Now, Denny's is calling. Mmmmmm
  7. LP QB sneak on 4th and 1. dont think he got it. but we have an LP injury. looks like they are focused on his neck. lets pray for the best.. he is ok. LP didnt get the first. KF ball at LP 46. 3 min left.
  8. KF had scored on a 33 yd run. LP26-KF13 with 439 left. LP is going for it on 4th.
  9. LP run game is being suffocated by the KF D. they have soled out to stop the run. LP averaging maybe 3 yds a carry
  10. LP26- KF 0 533 left in the 3rd. no offense from either team. turnovers are the key.
  11. Panamamyers, Keep fighting for those Ganders. It was tough for me to see the attendence on the Gander sideline. i havent been to a Lee game since 2000 so i was shocked to see the attendence on the Lee sideline. I admire your commitment to the team b/c i will still attend every LP game i can win or lose.  I plan on coming to the Lee game on a saturday, put my 6 dollars and concession purchases to good use. Maybe we can sit at the game and talk some gridiron.
  12. i can easily see a 1-loss district champ. i like our district's odds against 22-5A! Deer Park and Memorial are the only ones able to compete with our teams.
  13. I agree with you on much of what you said Panamamyers. Lee does have a QB issue..the kid just look like he is comfortable with being a leaf on the river. I never saw him take control of the situation. he's a big kid, but the horsepower dont match the vehicle.  Im an olineman at heart so i watched it. Lee's oline was outplayed by the front line of LP defense but i think most of it was just simple assignment.  Lp Oline proved that if you just get a hat-on-a-hat things can happen with aware running back.  I saw the weakness in the LP offense...when we run an outside zone the size of the oline can be beaten by a.) an dline that knows how to contact, read, seperate and then get to the ball or b.) simply using pure spead to beat them to the point.  there was plenty of times where the backside of the LP blocking was outside-in on a dlineman, but the dlineman didnt seperate from the blocker just chose to stay stuck the LP blocker. i hope our oline can fix that before we hit quicker defences. Lee played a very conservative offensive play calling.  i expected them to open it up and stretch the defense out but all i saw was 5 yrd routes. LP did have a good blitz package by dropping the outside linebacker (sutherland) in the 5 technique at the snap of the ball. and filling the gap with running blitzs.  As last week, Poor angles by the Lee defense allowed more yards after contact...must wrap up and get to the ball. LP played a constant game of gang tackling. i think Lee will have it figured out by district. I hope Lee kids use this game as a measuring stick in the sense of "this is low as we WILL go."  i hope LP doesnt get distracted by the wins...this win is THIS WEEK'S WIN...you have 8 more guaranteed games. Play each one like its a play off game. We have klein forest next week. i know htey are without their QB but that should mean we need to step up our game, neccessity is a great motivator.
  14. 57-6 lp up with 3 Mins in the 4th left. Int lp has the ball
  15. Lee secondary has their eyes strictly in the backfield. a lot of wide open TSS.
  16. Lee is not pursuit is not there. Lp loin has picked it up. did lee not watch the game from last week on the qb sneak for a td?
  17. I'm feeling like lee needs to open up th playbook. Lp is playing man on the outside. Protection looking good.  The  effort looks to be on lp side.
