You may want to be a little more specific and say "football program" rather than paint the entire athletic program with one broad stroke. That's not entirely fair to the other sports. BC boys and girls compete and do well in other sports. Baseball, track, cross country, golf, powerlifting etc. For whatever reason football has definitely seen more prosperous times.

Congrats to Trevor Breaux, he does a lot of dirty work on defense and doesn't get a lot of headlines, but that kid is what the Nederland program is built on, got him a defensive TD last night. Good job young man, keep grinding.

For all you players that read these posts...pay no attention to the "man behind the curtain". These posts are written by armchair quarterbacks, armchair coaches, those with loads of wisdom and knowlege for the game, others...not so much. Fanatics that impose violence, those that make peace and just enjoy sharing their thoughts. Those that have played the game, those that never played. Truth is, we all just have our opinions but none of this should matter to you come gametime. Thank you for your hard work and dedication that entertains us all weekly. Give 110% this weekend and win or lose, hold your head high knowing you have given your all with no regrets left on the field. Play with courage, dignity, and good sportsmanship. We pray that the rest of your season is injury free, succesful, and that you enjoy the rest of your season. Thanks again for giving Southeast Texas football fans so much to talk about.

It's funny that a Nederland fan started this thread. I hope our boys don't get caught looking ahead. What the Indians and Jaguars have to remember, Vidor is on the outside looking in for that final playoff spot so they need to pull an upset either by knocking off the Jaguars this week or by beating the Indians the last week. The Panthers are on the inside looking out. The don't want to slip up and give up any ground. An upset of PNG would solidify their playoff spot. So I hope both clubs stay focused on the task at hand this week.

You can build a indoor facility, a new stadium, and wear 30 different uniforms... But at the end of the day numbers don't lie... 1-5..... Sleep on that for a while.... I've watched our practices and they are by no means anything like a Nederland practice... It shows... Mental toughness, team work, and good coaching go a long way. Keeping your coaching staff in tact as well goes a long way.. Don't be surprised if this streak last longer than expected.....

Nederland - once again proved to be the better team.  Proud of PN-G for being down 14-0 and coming back to make a game of it. That takes heart. Why we did not run the ball more in the first half is beyond me.  It shouldn't take halftime before you realize that adjustments are necessary.  You have to be prepared in the moment.  Lucky it was only 7-0 at the half.  
 
It has to hurt Faircloth to know that short of a state championship @ PN-G -- many will always remember him as the first coach in PN-G history to lose 5 straight to Nederland. Hopefully - there will not be a witch hunt to run him out of town.   
 
Hopefully, we can shake it off and take care of business for the remaining district games.  Best of luck to the bulldogs.  Great kids and support in the Nederland, Port Neches and Groves communites.  

Nobody picked us last week either. I think we are a smaller underdog this week at home than we were last week at Central.

I'll take the opportunity to respond to 21 hondo's mindless dribble on a thread where it is more appropriate as I am sure this is not the last we have heard from him.  Now, back to the topic at hand.  Did what the coach do by posting on facebook stupid?  Yes!  Should Coach Boyd call him on the carpet for the facebook post?  Probably!   Does it warrant a district wide investigation and a Channel 2 TV report?  No.  Should the whiteboard picture be punished?  No way!

James is far from being a loud mouth and if you have ever read any of his post I don't think he has ever bet even over the last 4 UNDEFEATED years. You band wagon riders crack me up.

Nederland fans don't you find it funny how for four years you couldn't find not one PNG fan who would want to make a friendly wager on the MCM game and now all of a sudden they all want a piece of you. Four years of domination and they finally THINK they are on to something. When will they wake up and realize they only beat us once in five years and that was off of a Burnett leftover team. Kinda like when Barry Switzer won off of Jimmy Johnsons Cowboys! Oh, HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS!!!

I graduated in '88, I remember the '87 game .... I so wanted a win for my senior year, at least we tied .. lol.

49-45 Nederland over PNG

I have seen Nederland play twice. Clear lake and Ozen.  I know Nederland has a stealthy weapon in Sage and number 22. I haven't seen alot out of #6 or the other wr 18 I think. So lets break down Neumans coach theory which means nothing cause a few years ago he completely changed it to the Wild Cat for mcm and torched png  I believe ned runs out of options if you stop Sage on 3rd down qb draws and sneaks. Make sage throw a little more or get him fluster Png can win this game 
 
Now as for PNG  They have to gel on every level of the game from the line to the backs to the defensive. If one part of our battle plan is out of sync than Neuman will exploit it

Love this time of year. Trash Talk about whos better. Ok so here we go  THROW OUT EVERYTHING YOU THINK YOU KNOW ABOUT NEDERLAND AND PNG  and just watch the game cause its gonna be a good one
