I don't know if you are from Shepherd or not, We folks from Shepherd try and treat our opponents with respect. So please do that! It's not like Shepherd has been to the playoffs every year. They have to prove themselves just like Tarkington does. I do think Shepherd is a little better team but they will have to go out and prove that.

Seen both teams, Silsbee looks to have more depth in the line up.
it is a toss up on the batting line up 1 thru 5 but Silsbee hits the ball 1 thru 9.
As far as the defense goes it is a toss up, both of these teams play good defense.
pitching I can't say too much because both times we played Splendora we faced the same guy, tons of off-speed. We only seen Silsbee once and seen one pitcher who was good and knew how to pitch.
 
With that said, it is not going to be as easy as some may think, both teams are good. I won't pick a winner but I would assume that it will go 3 games.

The Fans, Players and Coaches from Silsbee were a class act. I agree with what Mr. Trembley said. Good Luck the rest of the way in the playoffs.

It will be a very good game, I would think. Splendora is the district leader and is a very good team. I wouldn't think they are an underdog just because Shepherd has to good pitchers. As we seen against Tarkington the first time around, Even IF both of Shepherd pitcher's pitch tonight doesn't assure them of anything. They still have to score runs.

Two weeks ago Kolek was still throwing 96-98 in the 5th or 6th inning, I was there and seen the guns from the scouts. Last Thursday he had some pitches at 100-101 mph. I will take Kolek, he can go the distance when he will be allowed too.

agree 100%, That is exactly what Shepherd and EC was doing, neither team was worried about anything but looking at depth and see where certain kids will fit in to what they are doing. Both coaches moved kids around and got what they needed out of it.
