wow. we are privileged enough to be able to watch a legend in his prime in our own back yard and the first post is critical. jealousy raise yo ugly head.

no aggie. not uncommon for a short radio show with the coach where he talks about the upcoming game. just fun to hear his perspective. don't be so paranoid. hook em.

Does the Silsbee coach have a weekly interview with a local radio station prior to games?

Carthage typically doesn't have a weakness. They can run it or throw it depending on what the defense is doing. And the coach always says they hang their hat on the defense. That's what it takes to win titles. And when they run up on a school with a once in a decade team, they have had the advantage of the better coaching. Their half time adjustments are crazy good. Titles are never easy.

one more cast off a carthage player by gametime with 2 to go. the last one probably couple more weeks.

Think we tend to put too much stock in common opponent scores. Carthage had sub's in early and gave Jasper 8 charity points. Tonight Jasper did not play a good game and I suspect China Spring played about as well as they could. I suspected CS would win as they are usually pretty decent with good game plans and a disciplined team.

got my plane tickets.  suspect carthage will do it again.  i think coldspring will have to physically dominate to beat the carthage coaches.  any way it turns out i am hoping for a fun game to watch.

carthage has a very balanced offense.  their coaches are without question the best at planning a game and reacting to the opposition.  they held shipley and brownwood to 28 points which is incredible.  they aren't in this for the third straight time out of luck. i have no idea about coldspring but i think we will find out if the best football is in the northern and western part of the state or if it is better in the south. i'm going to say shipley is as good or better than his older brother.

[/quote] that 354 to 68 in yardage seems pretty lopsided.  did carthage not get close to scoring a few times in the first half and turn the ball over?  if that was the case, i guess it could have been 40 or 50 something to 3.  sounds like jaspers defense was pretty good at times since carthage went on fourth down a few times.  judging from some of the  game scores that night, i'm wondering if wet fields contributed to some lower than normal scores.
